I loved this hostel. The owner was very cool and extremely helpful. The garden and bar out the back is so cool and relaxing. The staff are all nice and its a very cool building in a nice quiet area. Its everything I like in a hostel.

Nice way has a great vibe, and seemed to attract a nice mix of travellers of all ages (including our own family which has a child in tow). Taco Thursdays were delicious, happy hour made the garden the best bar in town. Our room (a private room with bathroom) was lovely and clean, in a separate 'family' building so it's quieter for kids. Staff know all the sights and gave us some great tips. It's a short walk to town, just set far enough away that you feel like you've escaped the many many tourists of Sintra - a great hostel all round!

Nice Way Sintra is one of the best hostels we stayed in! The house was incredibly clean and the decorations were adorable. They also have a cozy backyard area with a bar that you can purchase drinks from. Close distance to the sights and the staff is super friendly/accommodating with explaining how to get there. They also had great food recommendations! We sadly only stayed one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer! Highly recommend this place if you are staying in Sintra!

This small, unique hostel in a quiet, green area of Sintra features budget rooms with individual décor, free WiFi and a large garden. It is located about 1,000 feet from Sintra National Palace.

Nice Way Sintra Palace offers various types of shared accomodation, and a separate, renovated 1960's building block, with personalized private rooms. Individual safes can be found in each room.

Guests can prepare an open-air meal on the barbecue. Nice Way has a common, fully equipped kitchen, and a lounge area with a TV corner.

There is a slack line in the garden area, along with various other group games. Staff-organized walking tours of Sintra are available, upon previous request. Luggage storage are available at Nice Way Sintra Palace.

Sintra Train Station is about one mile from Nice Way Sintra Palace. The center of Sintra is reachable on foot in about 5 minutes.

There is Volunteers in the staff from different parts of the world and they doing job great! Especially, girl from Lietuva I guess. She helped me to buy a ticket for a bus and explained where the bus stop is. After that she cooked a delicious cake, because someone have birthday. Everybody was celebrating, sitting at the table and telling stories. I love the atmosphere a lot!! Thank you so much guys!

There was a problem with the entry key cards while I was there, but the staff were quick to fix it. I though the toilet cubicles were pretty tight as well, and I'm not tall! Also, the dorms on the ground floor open onto the common area so you're awake as soon as others are up and talking.
Despite my "dislikes", this is an amazing hostel! Really nice atmosphere and vibe, the staff (lots of them!) are super nice, the place seems to attract a certain, mellow type of guest. The bar in the garden has really cheap drinks and the breakfast is good too. And the showers are sooo hot! I loved Sintra and I loved this hostel!

We booked this property on recommendation of a friend, but were very disappointed on arrival and after. We were assigned a 3rd floor room, reached only by 2 flights of stairs so steep my wife could not negotiate them without help. The ceilings of our room were so low we kept bumping our heads, and we are not tall people. The room was unheated and uncomfortably cold; we were bothered during the night by mosquitos, even though we had windows closed and lights off. We woke and went downstairs for coffee to find "guests" sleeping on couches in common areas. Breakfast was very meager, basically juice, cereal, toast and jam, with poor quality coffee (inexcusable in Europe!). When we asked to cancel our remaining 2 nights reservation with refund, we were denied the refund. We left anyway.
Friendly but incompatible other guests; nice backyard garden.
