We put our heart and soul in everything we do, and we’re always ready to welcome new people, fueled by a genuine desire to share the best things in life experiences! We spend most of our time in or near the ocean! In 2013, we moved to the North Coast of Madeira Island. Back then, our job was to repair surfboards, but we would do it at night so we could spend the whole day in the ocean. Later, we created the Guest House and realised we could have this connection to nature and conquer this privileged freedom to dedicate ourselves to what we love most: surfing, outdoor training and being in permanent contact with nature, as well as being able to share these experiences with people who have the same interests as us. The Sea, the Mountain, the Guest House and the Garden have become our life, and we are ready to share them with you! Our Surf School has a familiar atmosphere, and the experience we offer truly is authentic. We are sensitive to your needs and will adjust whatever’s necessary so as to share our daily life and the activities we are dedicated to in the most genuine way. We want you to feel welcomed and happy and to also share with us a glimpse of who you are and what truly matters to you.

Our tradicional Madeiran house is surrounded by a colorful garden and offers double room with private ensuite bathroom and breakfast included. It's your house! Feel as if you were at home. We want you to be as comfortable as possible. Madeira Surf Lodge was created by the same young couple who founded the Madeira Surf Center project, Andreia and Ruben, who decided to adopt a more balanced lifestyle by doing what they love the most and being more in touch with nature. This house was love at first sight and one of the main reasons why they settled on the marvelous North Coast of Madeira Island. The SurfLodge is a simple house with an extremely familiar and relaxed atmosphere where they started by welcoming friends and family, but they eventually realized they could easily open its doors to the world and welcome more people. Being passionate about sharing and discovering other cultures and life experiences, they soon realized this was the environment where they felt happiest and most complete, and a way of travelling without leaving home too. The concept evolved and we ended up realizing that most people came to Madeira Surf Lodge looking for a space where they could have a wellness break and feel at one with nature. Our guests seek, above all, to take a break from the city, to practice water sports (Surf/SUP) or mountain sports (‘Levada’ walks alongside the irrigation canals, Trails, etc.) and to enjoy a healthier diet. The result is usually some truly invigorating vacations, quite similar to a retreat.

São Vicente is a pleasant village in the north of the Island set in one of the most beautiful valleys of Madeira. The São Vicente Caves “Grutas de São Vicente” are the best underground channels of lava ever found in Madeira. The result of an eruption that occurred about 400,000 years ago they were first discovered in 1885. Enjoy a guided tour by a specialist through the caves and learn how they were formed. For other areas of interest visit São Vicente's main church in the centre of the village. Dedicated to Saint Vincent and built in the 17th century it has magnificent ceiling paintings, in one of which Saint Vincent is blessing the town. Down the valley by the sea find a small symbolic chapel built in 1694 constructed right on the very spot where it is said Saint Vicente appeared. The town of São Vicente is fast becoming popular with surfers thanks to a pebble beach with excellent conditions where many surfers from all over Europe come to ride the waves in the North Coast of Madeira Island.
