The hotel is in the heart of Porto with easy access to resturants and the metro station. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Just as heads-up (we had a room facing the street): across from the hotel is a club (you can hear some music - nothing to loud) hence, if you are a light sleeper the noise might be an annoyance. Breakfast was good and provided a nice start into the day. I would definitely stay at this place again.

Charm, comfort and safety are the 3 priorities I have when booking a place to stay. I loved Oporto House and it’s staff for delivering all 3 with local flavor. A great value for the price, my room was clean, comfortable and I felt that I was getting an authentic experience for my first trip to Porto. Everything was great here. Our double room was very clean and spacious with its own enclosed deck and access to the outdoor area. The woman at the front desk was very nice and had great recommendations on where to eat and what to see. Breakfast was above average with fresh fruit and bread/cake. Also very close to a lot of sights and great bars and restaurants. Probably the best place I have stayed at for the price.

One of our best sellers in Porto! Family-run Oporto House is in a historic neighborhood in central Porto, a 5 minute walk from Clérigos Tower and Palacio da Bolsa. Its rooms have natural stone walls and antique, wood furniture.

Decorated in bright colors, each room has a fan and private bathroom. Some rooms have a balcony, city views or sloped ceilings.

A continental breakfast is available and there is a snack bar. Lots of restaurants and bars can be found within a 10 minute walk.

The staff at the 24-hour front desk can provide tourist information and arrange massages, and car and bike rental. City Market Bolhao is less than half a mile from the property, while the Palacio de Cristal gardens are 15 minutes’ away on a route passing the University of Porto.

Located within a 5 minute walk are Aliados Metro Station and São Bento Train Station, offering direct access to the rest of the city. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is a 20 minute drive from OportoHouse.

I liked a lot the style of the room since it had a stone wall with a nice balcony. Moreover, the place is really in the center with lot of options regarding shops nearby.

On the day we stayed there was a noice from outside until almost morning hours (not sure if it is always like that or not). The location is very central, I guess you can expect this, not a fault of the place though

The street is not made for you to arrive walking with big luggages. A Taxi or Uber is the best option.

Room was very basic, the shower tray overflowed very quickly resulting in the floor becoming like a swimming pool, reported this as there was obviously a problem but nothing done, we were at the front of the hotel and on some night's there was quite a lot of noise as there are a few clubs and bars along the street.

Hair, hair, hair....!!!! everywhere!! on the bed, many black hairs welcomed me. and in the toilet, on the sink, on the towel, I was so tired so i didn't even have energy to complain especially as there was only one old man who could not understand any english at night. but It was most uncomfortable stay in portugal, because of the lack of cleanliness. and the room was basement and cold. the room was different from the photo on the booking.com when I selected. Just, could not sleep well as i felt all my body was covered by someone else's hair.
the lady who was there in the next day (afternoon) was bright. but i the morning one was not nice.

the room was a bit cold but i think this is similar in Portugal as the hotel in Lisbon was also cold.
the room was big and beautiful. the bathroom and toilets were seperate. all very clean. the location was perfect (only the related street is not that beautiful) it was way worth the money.

No in room facility for tea making We were in room 5 an attic room with little room to stand. Although it was a long spacious room there was only 1metre width to stand. Sitting up in bed was impossible.

We were initially given a room with a double bed though we asked for a twin room. The staff quickly sorted it out though and gave us a twin room instead. There was a kettle but no tea or coffee.
Great location in a quiet side street in the centre of Porto, a short walk from the main rail station. Staff were friendly and helpful. A comfortable, characterful hotel for a great price.

Shower was poor. Very noisy with nightclub opposite until 6am on Saturday night, glazing not thick enough on windows really.
