Excellent breakfast. Good location. Easy access to beach. Our flight was cancelled the day before we were due to leave so this meant staying an extra night. The staff on the reception desk were very helpful and arranged an extra nights stay for us in the same room which was great. OK the decor is a little dated but it was spotlessly clean. As other reviews have stated I think it's due to be refurbished soon. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is great, beach is close by. Alvor is a fishing port so the seafood restaurants near the harbour have a great, fresh selection. The hotel itself is due a major overhaul shortly so what I tell you now may not be accurate over the next 4-6 months. Pestana have 3 other hotels in a close proximity. It's been a really relaxing stay and the weather is still hot and sunny into late October. The facilities at the hotel are good, gym, gift shop, bars and restaurants.
