We booked this hotel for the artbeerfest and it was great, 10 min walking to the festival, very comfy room and great breakfast. We only stayed on Friday and on Saturday they let us use the pool the whole afternoon and took a shower after on the spa. Very nice hotel for a relaxing weekend

A little out of town (plenty of parking if you're driving) with a fantastic sunset view of the harbor (right across the road is a great place to take it in) - it's also quite close to Praia da Foz do Minho. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the indoor spa has some water jets that are nice. The staff was very helpful for pointing out where to go in town.

We loved the pool and found the location excellent. The beach is a 10 minute lovely walk along the river Minho and you can swim in the Atlantic, just after the mouth of the river. Also the lively centre of the small pretty town, Caminha, is at walking distance (about 20 minutes).

The hotel is very good. I particularly liked the breakfast and the spa facilities. The swimming pool was also perfectly fine. Also nice that there was complementary bottled water in the room. The dinner buffet at the restaurant is also of high quality, with lots of variety and value for money.

The pool and the spa areas were lovely after a busy day cycling the Camino. The hotel provided secure storage for bikes. Breakfast was very good. The bedroom had a balcony overlooking the pool area which was very relaxing. lThe hotel was definitely worth it’s four stars.

There was a 5 to 15 minutes waiting line for the breakfast everyday. The breakfast was good and diverse, but the buffet dinner was not so impressive.
The SPA was amazing and the rooms were also quite good and comfortable.

Before I did the reservation, I called the hotel to make sure the inside pool & spa were opened, they confirmed and I booked. When I arrived, they told me the pool & spa were closed, and I should have been notified by the hotel. First, they said they called me (no calls), then they said they send an email through booking (no emails), but they can't have a proof because sometimes booking has problems - it really hard for a Portuguese hotel to call for a Portuguese phone number... So, I end up choosing this hotel end paying the price for inside pool & spa, called before the reservation to make sure everything were working, and in the end this happens.

Main negative point was the impersonal presence of the reception staff. I reported an incident within my arrival and requested a managerial escalation. After my 3 night stay this was never resolved in a phone call or meeting with the hotel manager. At best I regarded the underground car park dis-functional. There was no signs saying owners park at their own risk. Bar reception area - on first night the draught beer run out and was never replaced during the next two nights. At times encountered some period of waiting to receive complementary bathing towels. Staff resource slow and stretched at times. Parts of hotel room requires upgrade and some maintenance work. The entrance is more than grandeur with 4 star opulence. However I'm afraid that service and customer focus falls well short of what is required to be 4 star.
The breakfast buffet selection was excellent and plentiful. A small selection of cooked food but slightly disappointed that it was not hot enough. The SPA was as per advert however there was at times some of the fountains or hydro chairs not in operation.

It was very noisy as the hotel rooms on the front especially our suite as it was on floor one and next to a road and the rooms at the back had the railway track the other side of the pool.

I honestly did not like anything about the property, the restaurant staff actually forgot about us. Never brought us what we ordered and I felt a certain type of way on how we were treated. We are two mature ladies from the USA... maybe with their culture women do not go out without men.
Nothing! Carpets had stains and smelled horrible, the bathroom shower was full of mold and mildew, we changed rooms 3 different times before they put us in a “new” area. Don’t waste your money. The only staff member that was accommodating was Patrica, the others were not friendly and willing to help.

Was provided with a room to the back with a limited view, despite the fact that specifically requested with pool view; no reply. Everything was ok, but no real investment on the customer.
Good installations but lacking maintenance in some areas. Good pool out & in ; nice spa.

I tried to rent a bike for the day but it was wrecked (flat tires, falling out pedals, and very bad condition). The staff didn´t have a clue that the bike was like that and yet would just rent it anyway hadn´t I notice those issues. Upon verifying the situation, they were unable to solve the problems and looked like they simply didn't care. A pity in such a good hotel.
