JapanPalace across street definitely worth visit. Quick drive to airport in morning. Close to Sintra. Good breakfast.
AustraliaThis is the ideal place to stay near the Lisbon airport. The staff is very helpful in every detail whether on arrival or leaving Portugal. It is close by and very quiet for a very good rest. The posada is beautiful and staying there offers the possibility of touring the palace early morning or late afternoon before the tourists arrive. I was there when it opened and had the entire palace to myself on a self tour! We especially liked the restaurant which was located in the palace kitchen. ..a beautiful old original marble huge table was laden with a "buffet" of Portuguese desserts to sample what you like and available with choice of dinners.
