Staff was very friendly. Contrary to previous reviews, we could check in at 6 and the desk was staffed until late. Moreover, we could leave our luggage in the hotel on our last day, while exploring town before going to the airport. Excellent breakfast. Conveniently located next to metro station Sao Sebastiao.

The location was great, with a quick walk to a metro station giving quick access to the coast and other attractions. it was a short walk away from both a lovely park and El Corte Ingles, a great department store all of the staff were so friendly and helpful and really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to suggest places we might like to visit and recommend local restaurants. We didn’t speak any Portuguese on arrival but they even helped me to learn a few phrases. The apartment was huge and really well equipped, which would’ve been great for a longer stay. It was great to have a bath to soak in after a long day sightseeing. The king size bed was really comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful so much variety. The best of both world, an apartment with facilities to cater for yourself, breakfast on site and your bed made for you every day. The sister hotel nearby had several friendly bars
