Spectacular property and accommodation, friendly staff, amazing room, heated floor in bathroom, great breakfast, feels like home but way better

NetherlandsBeautiful setting overlooking the Douro River. Lovely gardens, terrace and pool. Rooms immaculate and very comfortable. We had an excellent Degustation menu on the first night, accompanied by their own top quality selection of wines. The hotel will arrange activities including wine tasting and boat tours. There is a free minibus shuttle by prior arrangement to Ferrao train station 5 minutes down the hill, also a pontoon and even a helipad!

United KingdomFantastic location situated in the middle of the vineyard overlooking the Duero. The property and rooms were great, as well as the terraces to sit on around it. There were wonderful walks through the vineyard. We woke early and saw sunrise lighting up the valleys around in the comfortable coolness of the early morning. There is a delicious buffet breakfast included. There is a tour of the winery available with a half price tasting if you are staying. Well worth it considering the prices of their best wines. NB the hardest way to drive to the property is from Pinhao. 3km straight line distance is 12km of winding narrow roads often where two cars cannot pass easily. You’d need to know it well to do it in the dark.
