We are based on a historical vineyard surrounded by forest and orchards, overlooking the beautiful river Zezere. Here we have three very different and unique accommodations to offer, a Moroccan themed Yurt, a vintage horse Truck, and a gypsy caravan / shepherds hut. Each dwelling has spectacular views of the lake. Each accommodation option has a whole terrace to itself, where the yurt is fenced and gated to make it especially safe for young families. Our property is completely off-grip we have our own well water, use solar panels for electricity and hot water. Guest are invited to embrace our low impact living help us recycle and be conscientious of how much power we consume.

We’d love to welcome you to Dragonfly Valley soon! We, Pippa and Ian moved to Portugal early 2020 to take over the business from the capable hands of previous owners Joe & Nicole. The hope was to realise our dreams of living off grid with a sustainable ethos. We have 2 wonderful and friendly dogs named Murray & Leela.

The direct surroundings offers a splendid place to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature, to watch the birds or take part in some of the many activities available: Enjoy the mountains by foot or bike. Guided activities available in the area: Rock Climbing Mountain Biking Quads or go-karts 4x4 off road tours Paintballing Kayak or canoeing hire Jet ski and speed boat hire For more tranquil activities enjoy; lake and river fishing (Trout, Carp, Barbel, Tench, Bass and Bream) Relax at one of the many river beaches also known as Praias Fluviais. They offer safe place for the children to swim and amenities such as toilets and cafes. Visit all the picturesque villages in the direct surroundings such as Pedrogão Grande, Pedrogão Pequeno, Mosteiro. A little further down the road is the world heritage site in Tomar, Or the historical university city of Coimbra just a 35 minute drive north.
