Amazing historic property in the heart of Porto. Great care given to the finer details. It is beyond the luxury experience in small ways....real old keys that work your door but great modern amenities that make you feel at home. They nailed it when it came to the right balance of old and new.....except for the pigeons and seagulls on the rooftops outside my balcony window.....sounds like a crying baby in the middle of the night!! The breakfast buffet is amazing...great healthy choices, friendly staff to welcome you. I even had my car washed at the parking garage to get a clean wind screen for the next leg of my drive! Amazing what 12EU will get you! I LOVE the theme of writers and poets. Please don't lose that....a truly amazing stay.

Staff were lovely and very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great - lots of choice, including sparkling wine, hot food, cheese, pastries, etc. etc.

United States of AmericaThe hotel upgraded us, we had the best room for real, unique designs and big space, boutique hotel style. the concept of the hotel is amazing. The staff are so nice and helpful, helped us with tickets and all our needs, parking available close by (staff park the car). The breakfast was so good. the hotel has fancy restaurant but we had deserts and coffee in the library. we enjoyed our stay and extended it. A lot of attractions are in walking distance. The rooms are so clean and the bed sheets smells good, small chocolate treats were provided every night with a bookmark that has some information about portages writers. If u like books, arts, and unique hotels, defiantly you must book. I have to say our room ceiling was just an art, and ceiling was so high, the level of details in the hotel is remarkable.
