Everything. Beautifully preserved historical building complete with an accessible turret. Outdoor pool area was lovely. Spacious rooms with large elegant en suite bathrooms. The hosts were lovely. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Wonderful!

The pool was nice to dip in after a trip to the forest. Be sure to take the short 10min drive to Mealhada for Leitoes (sucking pig).

FranceWonderfully unique property with friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast is excellent and extensive. Nothing at all like a hotel chain. We spent 4 nights and were sad to leave. The town is pleasant and relaxing. It’s only a short walk to the beautiful walking trails and palace hotel in Bussaco forest. Nice plush white terry robes. We will be back !
