The roads are bad inside the city, but amazing outside of it. The Turda Salt Mine was a big disappointment; very crowded and poorly organized.
We ordered takeout from CSA BRAVIA, the food was spoiled.

Turda Salt Mine is a great experience for families seeking both adventure and health benefits. As parents, we were initially drawn to the mine's history, but what amazed us was how much our child benefited from the unique environment. The salt-infused air worked well on their respiratory health, creating an unexpectedly positive impact that we hadn't anticipated.
By the way, if you are coming for a long time (10 – 14 days) do not forget to buy a season ticket [abonament] for it will save you money and will let to skip the long lines at the entrance.
Exploring the mine was like entering a magical underground world. The spacious chambers and the awe-inspiring underground lake kept our child's curiosity piqued throughout the visit. The mine's history came to life through informative displays, making it an educational experience as well.
What made our visit even more special were the various activities tailored to families.
We were impressed by the Turda Salt Mine's commitment to maintaining a comfortable and safe environment for visitors. The well-maintained facilities, clear signage, and friendly staff made our visit stress-free and enjoyable. The mine's unique combination of history, adventure, and health benefits truly set it apart.
As parents, witnessing the positive effects the salt mine had on our child's health was a true blessing. We left Turda not only with cherished memories but also with a sense of gratitude for the health benefits our family experienced. Turda and its salt mine hold a special place in our hearts, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to families seeking a memorable and health-enhancing getaway.

Turda is a lovely town, although currently undergoing major construction road works so difficult to navigate around in a car.
Cheile Turzii and Salina Turda are must do highlights of the area, both beautiful and definitely worth visiting.
If you only do hike in the canyon, you can manage to do both in one day.
The salt mine is really impressive.
Staff in Turda restaurants is very nice, not much English speaking but trying hard, even if they need to use Google translator.
Local food is delicious.

Turda is a small interesting city to visit.
Turda is a small interesting city to visit. Anyhow the Turda Salt Mine is today a genuine history museum of Salt exploitation. The excellent condition of the mining compartments and the equipment used for salt transportation ,as well as the care with which the mine was prepared for touristic use, have turned it into a place of mingled history and legend. The ever higher number of tourists coming here from most various parts of the world to visit the mine are a confirmation of its historical and touristic value.
The Salt Mine is certainly the most famous destination for tourists visiting the town of Turda.
We stayed two nights at Hangers and it was GRRRRREAT. Everything was brand new and clean, full kitchen with everything you need, the house has a nice interior design and the room we stayed in has a balcony with a view of the Gorge mountains. It’s near the old town of Turda and Salina mine, less that 5 minutes walk you’re in the middle of the town. We came from Salina mine’s old entrance to the house by 20 minutes walk or it takes 5 minutes by car. The hosts are so kind and friendly. They helped us a lot to have a great time at Turda.
I will begin by saying that I was thankful that the proprietors called me a taxi to the bus stop to Cluj. I wish they told me that the bus wouldn't actually bring me to the airport, but rather 30 minutes from the airport. But I acknowledge that they are running a penzion, not a travel agency. It is an interesting property, with some fruit trees, dogs, cats, and a rooster that begins crowing at 3am. The breakfast was good; I especially enjoyed the garden-fresh tomatoes.
Florin's apartment is amazing, super clean, beautifully decorated, and full of all kinds of surprises like games for the kids, yummy foods and treats and lots of other fun stuff. Florin was super nice and helped us with everything we needed, and the location is also great, few minutes drive from salina turda. everything was perfect, hoping to visit again!
Casa Thaja was really WOW: very scenic, bright and spacious, extremely clean, beautifully decorated in the Scandinavian style and right on the pedestrian street. We really didnt't expect to find such a jem in a small town like Turda. And the host was the cherry on top :)
The rooms are tastefully decoated and there is a lot of attention to detail.
Very clean and comfortable accomodation with everything one can need.
The hosts are very welcoming and kind.
Definitely a place where you can feel like home, if you decide to visit Turda🥰
The owner Helga was really friendly and nice to talk. She told us the easy way to go to Salina Turda by walk, and showed us her work place ( manufacturing the garden decorations)
She has two dogs, 2cats , many chickens in the garden. Such a cozy place to stay.
very good location 10 minutes walk from Salina Turda

nice, very clean room with TV and refrigerator
shared kitchen with a lot of equipments

Felt like we were the first ever guests, all is brand new and in good taste. Very friendly and helpful hosts! Great value for the money. Also, Turda was more than we expected, hoped we could stay more!
Spacy bedroom with two big beds, a nice yard with tables, chairs and grill. Very convenient location close to Salina Turda and very nice and friendly host. Penny supermarket within six minutes of walk.
Amazing location, very well taken care of, very nice and helpful host. Perfect location to come either with the kids, or with a big company, lits of space. Plus, salina is an absolute must to see.
Located in a middle of vineyard with the view of the city. Very close to Turda Salt mines. Helpful staff, focused on serving their guests. big breakfast and plenty of wine and palinka to taste.
The accommodation is a few minutes walk from the Turda salt mine. The parking is in the yard in the front of the building. Our room had a balcony, we used it to observe fireworks one evening.
Great location for Turda salt mine - entrance B just at the base of the drive. Host was very helpful and even gave a complimentary glass of wine. Nice ambience and quiet place to enjoy
I've been here also 4 years agoo, I would definitely recommend the place
Is clean and close to the Turda salt mine (which was the main reason going there)
