This 80 square meter apartment offers a unique experience in Bistrita: vintage 19th century style with modern accents and Scandinavian comfort. Located in 19th century urban palace smack in the middle of the historical centre. You will be renting a one bedroom apartment and bathroom area in which two people can sleep utterly comfortably. The place has antique parqueted floors and furniture, new Danish bed an sofas plus lots of local antiques. The apartment also has high speed internet but no TV (we thought this would spoil the vintage vibe). There is a fully functioning kitchen, washing machine and other facilities suitable for a lengthy stay. There is off the street parking which is free after 6 pm and on week ends. Otherwise there is free municipal parking at the end of street/strada Lupeni, 6 minutes walk away from the apartment. Important: Some hosts are not familiar with the concept of TV-free vintage apartments. This is one of them and one should be aware of this term.

The residence is located inside de old citadel's walls and on the town's oldest and most beautiful street. Most building facades have been carefully restored and a minute or so walk outside the building there is a confiserie (Cristina), an Irish pub (Erin's), a serious cafe (Barrista, Copacul de Cafea) and lovely bistros (Amaretto, Villa, Brikada Culinar) among many other shops and businesses. If you open the front window you get an excellent view of the Gothic cathedral (Biserica Evanghelica). Stroll through the old town's medieval passageways to get a sense of centuries past. For fine dining with Art Nouveau decor check Restaurant Villa. Craving fast food? Turtica Magica is right around the corner and if you are in town on Saturday morning and noon check out the farmers' market at the entrance in Biserica Evanghelica, 4 minutes walk from the property.
