The accommodation is perfect for a taste of the transylvanian life and tradition. Our host was extremely nice and the whole experience in Crit village was beautiful! We will definitely return!

Owner made considerable and laudable conservation efforts. Rooms have painted furniture and original items (e.g., dowry chests). Dinner tables are made from old oak beams. There is mostly good taste in renovation and extension choices. The place does not seem children friendly. Yet we had an infant with us and felt very welcome. Host is genuinely affable and amenable (to a point). I wonder why she draws the line where she does, but that is her prerogative. Some guests may find that absurd and/or unacceptable. Breakfast is included and otherwise generous. Upon request, she cooked for us. It was one of the best meals we had in the area! Yes, I am generally impressed both with the property and services.

Everything. If you want to experience living for a few days in a really old Transylvanian house, this is your place. It’s like a little fortress, an intimate place, cozy, with a really nice vibe where you can enjoy the rural life. It feels like this is the birthplace of the concept of slow living. In the morning the breakfast consists in some traditional dishes procured from local farms, such as many types of cheese, eggs, vegetables, traditional bread, homemade zacusca, salata de vinete, pate and hummus, also homemade Blackcurrant and socata juice. In the evening the host can organize special dinners with many tradional foods and drinks (I think only on Saturdays). The property is probably more than 200 years old, but it was made cozy without damaging that medieval touch. You won’t find a TV, nor other digital devices, you’ll have WiFi connection, but you might want to look up to the sky. We went in August and we enjoyed the Perseids, because the night sky was simply spectacular.

Amazing hospitality, quite garden, very clean rooms . The food was excellent , we had the breakfast which was always fresh and with local produce and tried every night the amazing dinner- which we highly recommend for adults and children alike.

The breakfast was very good and it had Romanian cheese ,butter, option of eggs, coffee, traditional bread, home made jams , local milk. The place was very pleasant and calm. It had a very good view over the hills. The structure of the sas villa was kept traditional with original features and painted furniture.

It’s very pleasant to explore a restored Transylvanian Saxon home while staying there, not just passing by. To learn a bit about the story of the building, the project’s initiators, the challenges, the lessons learnt. We did not spend very much time but we enjoyed the night and the morning there.
