Mitrovac is a small place , we can say heart of the Tara...
Mitrovac is a small place , we can say heart of the Tara mountain. It good location for start point for hiking trails to one of the best view point in Serbia - Banjska Stena ( 9 and 9a Trail). Also you can choose trail to Zboriste one of the top point of The Tara. Also is close to the Oslusa and Sokolina where you can find nice view points. Lake Zaovine is also near Mitrovac just ahead from the Mitorvac. Nic place also for mountain biking. For family Mitrovac gives quiet place and nice field for kids game, few education trails.

Beautiful scenery, great location with hiking trails and lots of viewing points! When my husband and I were there beginning of September [2020], only one of the 2.5 restaurants was working, [the "half" here being what looked more like a cafe, so not sure if they had food as well] the other two were being renovated and would open after we'd left. So our only option was "Kacara Etno Restaurant", which was adequate [a bit slow on the service sometimes, even though it wasn't exactly crowded due to Covid, but the food was ok].NeeksSerbia - 10Scored 10

Mitrovac is one of the most beautiful parts of Tara Mountain. Beautiful landscapes, mountain lakes, unspoiled nature, unique mountain experience. Excellent and plentiful food at "Tarsko jezero" Restaurant. An excursion that I would recommend to anyone is a boat trip through the Drina Canyon.AAnonymousSerbia - 10Scored 10

Quiet and peaceful nature with interesting sightseeing like Red forest and lake Zaovine. There is also road thru Tara mountain heading south leading to Mokra gora where you can ride Cira train and see Drvengrad.BojanSerbia
