I went on a mostly business trip. I was impressed by the warmth, courtsey and friendliness of the people. Still had time to visit the Market and get garments made within 3 hours! When not is session, visits to 2 Art galleries showed incredible pueces. Lunch at The Hut was fabulous. Generous portion suzes and tasty fare. Kigali is fascinating! Kigali was absolutely fantastic—such a beautiful city with a rich culture. The people were so lovely and welcoming. My stay was really short, but I’m definitely planning to go back. If you’re after a bit of pampering, I highly recommend the Healing Spa in Kibagabaga (ask for Esther). For food, you’ve got to try Carnivore (ask for Richard) at Kigali Heights, and while you’re there, pop into the cute Charisma Bookstore. Kigali has so much to offer, and I can’t wait to explore more next time. Just a heads up—the security is very high, especially at the airport. A small city scattered over a number of steep hills,it must be the cleanest city in Africa.Modern hotels and office blocks sit comfortably next to older single storey houses and shops. and the streets are broad and traffic surprisingly orderly for the most part. The locals are very friendly and helpful the city is the gate to may interesting experiences in the interior of this beautiful country...more than just the gorillas!
