The lady who welcomed us, was very charming and made us feel very welcome! The rooms are beautiful and the attention to detail was far better then some 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Fresh flowers from the garden left around the room was also a lovely touch. Breakfast was also very nice everything tasted very fresh, home made jams which were delicious. The location is a short bike ride from the Centre of LA digue, but you are surrounded by nature and the garden is lovely to sit in at night with a glass of wine admiring the scenery and the coco de mer tree that is lit up at night.

We LOVED our stay at Calou! The hosts are warm and gracious, the amenities are excellent, the service was perfect (they booked us a day-trip to Praslin and did our laundry!) and the breakfast is divine (I'm in love with soursop). It is even more charming than the pictures make it out to be. We loved the accessibility of the island too. Getting around by bike was such a nice treat after three days of the harrowing roads on Mahe.

This place is very nice and very welcoming. The hotel is ran by a very accommodating family and they do their best to keep everyone satisfied. The room itself is great, very clean, modern looking and spacious. La Digue is a very small island so no need to worry about the location, however, I would recommend renting a bike through the hotel which would be very helpful for moving around.

  • Hi, Our friends stayed with you during Easter and loved it. We are a family of four, but our children are 4 years and 2 years old and so the 2 year old would sleep in our bed. Would we be able to book a room with this in mind? Many thanks Hugh Molloy

The Guest House is located 2 minutes away from a small shop which sells beverages, foods, basics needs goods & souvenirs. Calou guesthouse is the home of 4 tortoises which is an attraction for kids. They can feed them! We are delighted to organize mountain hikes and island excursions for families and couples
