We really enjoyed our stay here! The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, and we had all the facilities we needed. Stephanie really went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Since we were here during one of the coldest weeks in decades (-31°C!), she placed a whole bunch of electric heaters throughout our rooms and made sure the wood stove was on to make it pleasantly warm and cozy. Since we were a little worried our car wouldn't start on our day of departure, she even made sure our car was able to stay warm enough during the night. We were really happy to have spent time here, and can wholeheartedly recommended it!

Gästhus Simolle is located in a small quiet community of 6 houses. Next to the forest with a walking trail, and with the Indals river and walking trail across the road. The apartment is located in the basement of the house. There is a large garden with many flowers and space to sit where you can relax and where a campfire can be made in the evening to grill a fish, for example. The apartment has a sitting area and a corner with a table and cooking facilities. The bedroom is located as a separate room next to the living room. Heaters are available for both rooms. Kitchen sink and water are located in the laundry room next to the apartment, which also has a micro wave, refrigerator, washing machine and iron. There is a private guest bathroom in the basement. If with more than 2 guests, there are two folding beds available that can be put in the apartment. Guests have their own entrance to the basement in the summer. In winter entrance might be through the main door. There is no breakfast but in consultation and for a small fee a breakfast or lunch basket can be made ready with e.g. home baked bread and jam. {need to know beforehand}
Your host is in her 50s and has traveled the world for many years. She moved to Sweden in 2021 to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Jämtland region. She is looking forward to welcome other travelers and is able to tell and if necessary show the guest all the best places and walking trails in the area.
Simolle is only about one kilometer from the Krångede Kraftwerk and its museum, Öratjärn is a nice swimming surrounded by trees only 3 km away. There is also a nice quiet spot to swim in the Indals river nearby. There are many {gravel} roads to drive into the hills and forests where if you are lucky you will meet a moose or even a bear. Hammarstrand is 18 km away and has two supermarkets and a gas station. Östersund is a 80 km drive and the tourist attraction Döda fallet 28 km.
