We renovated our cabin a couple of years ago mainly for our own guest and family. Therefor we decorated it like our home, with a high standard and cosy. The home is build in a traditional Swedish way with red paint and white dekorations. You park our car right in front of the house. The cabin has one bedroom with a dubble. It's perfekt for 2 adults and a maximum of 2 small children. For the beautiful summer evenings our cabin has a terass and access to the garden.

Regina, Carsten, Jasper and Hedda are the names of your hosts. German roots but with blue and yellow color in our hearts have we run our little guest house since 2011. We love to explore the world and meet people. In our past time we try to improve our home, enjoy the beauty of Moras surroundings, go skiing, iceskating, hiking, swimming. Our son just discovered that skiing is his thing. We prefer a calm and easy way of life and love the Swedish saying "ta det lugnt" - take it easy, everything has not to be done straight away, sometimes it is better to wait a while. Our children attend school and we both have our jobs, Carsten as a GP and Regina as an anesthesiologist. We would love to give you some advice on nice day trips or other things you could do while staying in Mora.

There is plenty to discover in Mora and the surrounding. During winter you could take your blades and take a turn on Saxviken where they usually plough a nice iceskating circle. If you are more interested in cross country skiing then the Vasaloppet could be your thing - or just hit one of the many cross country ski tracks in Hemus, Norra Garberg, Orsa Grönklitt or Vasaloppsspåret (which is prepared the whole 90 km till Sälen at least a couple of weeks prior to the race in the beginning of march). For those who prefer downhill skiing then Grönklitt or Gesunda is worth a visit (the first can be reached in 30-45 minutes by car, the last in about 15 minutes). The biggest ski area in Scandinavia is called Sälen and is only 60-90 minutes away from Mora. During summer time there are many fine beaches around lake Siljan and Orsa. It is possible to rent kayaks at Mora Parken. For those in favour for some traditions we would recommend to participate in the traditional midsummer celebrations. The nearest is just around the corner close to your cottage - just ask us!
