I was in Koper for a conference at the University and this hostel was ideal for a working trip. Clean, good facilities, all in full working order, and very comfortable and quiet - not a rowdy place at all when I was there in March.
There's a kitchen to make breakfast or a cafe attached to the hostel, and Koper is full of bakeries and nice places to eat. The hostel is super central in Koper's very beautiful old town, ideal for exploring!
Hostel Villa Domus offers air-conditioned accommodation in Koper, just 450 metres from the city centre and 1 km from the nearest beach. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant.

The apartment is just cute.
It's amazing how they shoehorned two bedrooms to the 2nd floor of such a small house.
It's in the old town, within the old city walls, you can always pop in for whatever you left at home.
Kitchen is well equipped.

The host was very welcoming and super nice. Apartment looks beautiful and you have a seaside view. It also has a reserved parking space which is good feature, since it can get quite crowdy in Koper. Next time I'm in Koper I will definitely be staying here!

Its well-preserved medieval old town, characterized by narrow winding streets and charming squares, transports visitors to another era. Loevly old part town of city, and long promenade is perfect to walk and watch sunsets. Mornarček fish house was a good place to have sea food, a bit steep price but good portions. On friday there were open air street concerts, you can feel the city vibe. The saddest thing is the city beach. Really small and of course crowded.

The sea was still cold. We went cycling and hiking. Beautiful cycle path: Parenzana. We went from Trieste to Piran. It's a shame that small engines also use it. Heated seawater thermal bath in Portoroz.

Koper is a very nice place where you can find various inns, shops, pastry shops... You can also find beautiful views and walking paths. I recommend a hike from Koper to Izola along a well-maintained walking path. It is also a very pet-friendly place, although you have to pay attention to the signs where pets are not allowed to relieve themselves.

A wonderful medieval town with so many of the original buildings (Venetian style architeture) intact. Clean and tidy except for lots of graffiti which didn't matter because it was all in Slovenian! Very little crime I was told and people seemed to leave phones cameras beside them without worrying
Everything in the old town within easy walking distance but be careful of uneven paving stones if you are a bit wobbly on your feet.
Cafe Loggia in main square good place for coffee and toasties.
Lots of fresh fish in restaurants and Slovenian traditional food too. Lots of varieties of ice cream but be aware that their "scoops" are twice as big as here.
Try the orange wine it's lovely (but not made from oranges as I thought at first). Buy "flowers of salt" made in salt pans the traditional way near Piran (another lovely town to visit nearby)
Bikes to rent (including electric) in many outlets in town.
This was really an opposite experience compared to a hotel. Very personal and friendly, especially since only one cottage is at disposal. Basically you're invited into a family, that lives on the same property, which offered a window into local Slovenian/Istrian soul and lifestyle. Very rich and bio breakfasts, local fruits, herbs provided directly from the garden. The "Green" was evidently something, that the owners belived in, not just a label.
Lovely stay, lovely people, nice memories, I definitely do recommend!
The property has a very nice location. The staff was super friendly. The good thing is as a hotel guest you have a free parking (it is difficult to find a parking and it is quite costly during the summer in Koper). This hotel is nice and comfortable if you have kids. The beach is cross the street and the hotel has several swimming pools. We were having bed and breakfast and were very surprised how many options the hotel has for a breakfast as it is a 3-star and such a breakfast is usually offered at 4-star hotels.
Koper is a really nice town, and this apartment is where you want to be - on the quiet and nice part of town, away from the heavy machinery in the harbor, halfway up on the hill just above the beach so you'll pick up the evening breeze to cool things down, but also in close <2 minutes walk from a nice little super market that has what you'll need for dinner or drinks. The apartment has airconditioning too, so if it gets really hot you'll still be comfortable.
I often come to Koper for a week or two and I have stayed in several different places. This apartment was definitely the best!
The place is cozy, spotless clean, all furnished, and very nice to live in. The area, in the old town, is very quiet. It is an 9 minutes walk to the sea front and its restaurants, and a supermarket is just close by.
The landlord was really nice and even picked me up at the bus station. I can't recommend this place enough!
The apartment was very Clean and modern, the host and her family were absolutely welcoming and very nice set of people. Her husband, her son and her daughter were so kind. I wouldn't ask for more beyond what they have given.
The apartment was so bright and spacious, the view from the balcony on a morning coffee is so stunning. Above all I Learnt few words in Slovenian with them :)
I love everything about the apartment and the host.
The property we rented was a small house near the hotel Bio. Our family of five stayed following a recent trip in nearby Piran. The accomodation was a 3-bedroom house which was enough space for our family, and at a moderate price.
We only stayed for one night and didn't spend much time at the restaurant or the area nearby in Koper. The Hotel Bio across the street seemed nice and had a nice restaurant there.
Very comfortable hotel with great restaurant. We really enjoyed their fish on the grill and other sea food. The hotel itself is approx. 2.4km from Koper beach and 2km from downtown. Nevertheless it's easy to walk to the city or beach by foot. There are parking lots nearby hotel, sometimes you need to park next to the hotel as parking can be full in the evenings.
Although it doesn't seem like that, location is central to everything you will need when staying in Koper for a vacation. Market contains fresh vegetables every day, multiple fish shops, Fritolin, Sledoledarnu and is a gateway to long walks on the boardwalk. City beach is 5 minutes away, there is a parking garage nearby, it has everything very close.
Free parking was a big plus although the parking is not properly signed (I believe the parking is called Ogrilica). We used Koper as a base to visit Postojna, Skocjan and Izola and it was the right distance from these places and being on the outside of town, easy to get to from the highway. The staff were friendly.
Grand Koper has a beautiful interior shaped in Artdeco of the newly renovated hotel. Chef¨s Capra restaurant did a masterpiece, and we enjoyed our dinner. Location suits city exploration, boat renting, sports. The public beach is within walking distance. Winter swimming is possible at Žusterna indoor pools.
The price and location of this apartment is amazing. 10 min walk to Koper center or Zusterna beach. The apartment is new, modern and it has a free parking which is always a plus. The hosts were extremly nice and easy to communicate with. The beds in a small bedroom and sofa bed were very comfy.
I can’t say enough about this wonderful property. It was beautifully designed and nicely functional. The location is great. Milos, the host, made sure everything was perfect and communicated with us well. I highly recommend this apartment when visiting Koper.
The place is in the perfect location and close to everything Koper has to offer. It was also very clean and pleasantly decorated. The owner and his girlfriend were very nice, friendly and hospitable! Perfect stay for young couples
Always helpful staff, it was easy to manage anything what was needed. Rooms and all the facilities were clean. entire hotel feels kind of cozy. Excellent coffee by the way one can get in lobby bar.
Host was very helpful. We had issues with car hire Budget letting us down by closing office at the airport early. We could only get to Koper the morning after. Host was very helpful and flexible .
Excellent host and stay, very quiet and great views from the terrace. Easy walk into Koper for restaurants or shops. Perfect for a short getaway away from the crowds. Highly recommend!
