The Gorge is very beautiful and there are many hiking and walking trail around. The museum of Tolmin is really interesting. I'd recommend going there with nice weather, there is little to be done when it is raining.

Tomlinson was a great stop on our hiking adventure.
Tomlinson was a great stop on our hiking adventure. The gorge and castle ruins were good to see and with it being a bigger town then we had been in on our travels we were able to restock our hiking supplies.

Great base for getting out to other hiking areas waterfalls and canyons. The Town centre is dated and quite dirty. Only a few restaurants all with the same items on the menu, but all good quality and very low prices.

Tolmin is heaven on earth.
Tolmin is heaven on earth. Especially in the festival season in the town. The rivers Tolminka and Soca meet, and it's the perfect cooling down in the hot hot heat (it was 32 degrees Celsius). The surrounding area is Slovene Alps at its best with countless activities from biking, paragliding, mountain climbing and canyoning. It has one of the best festivals in Slovenia every summer, and it's a must visit.

Nice quiet place, not many tourists.
Nice quiet place, not many tourists. Beautiful gorge to walk which again was not busy. It’s a quaint little town with few restaurants and ideal for those looking for outdoor activities off the beaten track.
Also if you choose to do the boat tour (which requires a short drive) best deal is to have lunch on it. It’s 14 euro for 2/3 courses including 2.5 hour boat ride. Otherwise you pay for 1 hour boat ride with no food for 8 euro.

Cute little town with breathtaking surroundings, very tourist-friendly, perfect for active holidays. Having a car helps a lot, makes the whole region very accessible, but train is a second best option as well. Restaurant Labrca at the river bank is a must. Excellent food, friendly staff.
Great location. The hotel is close to the gorge. The room was clean and new. The host was so lovely that it felt like visiting your favorite aunt. We missed the last bus and asked for a contact for a taxi, but she picked us up instead. Also, she took care of us very well. We got wet the day before, and our shoes were soaked. She brought a portable heater to help us dry them and offered us to borrow some clothes if we needed them. This is the most amiable host we ever met. Thank you very much.
The room was very spacious and clean and David answers questions very quickly. Although the bathroom was shared with another apartment, it remained quite clean throughout my stay. There's a bakery right around the corner.
The location is great as it is quite close to the bus station, a 30 minute walk to the Tolmin Gorge and a great starting point to explore other places such as Kobadir and Bovec.
The apartment is at great location, in the center of Tolmin (which is a small town with only 3.500 residents). Everything is near: supermarkets, restaurants & cafes, playground & sport park, etc.
We were on a roadtrip with our 17 month kid and the host was helpful to get a high chair and a cot for our stay.
🅿️ Parking with car is easy.
Unfortunately, there are only the pros that I could give.
The kindness of the staff: amazing. Special thanks to Mr. Uros who did not hesitate to offer me a ride to Kobarid so I could collect my car. Far too kind. We left our car in Kobarid because we arrived in Tolmin with our bicycles. The breakfast was abundant and very tasty. The hotel is very well kept and quite family oriented (we are a family with small children) .
Very super friendly and helpful staff. Nice place close to Tolmin, just 5 mins of driving. When we needed to bring our friend into the room because of huge storm and damaged tent in the camping, it was no problem. Everything solved smoothly and we even got extra breakfast for him.
Rooms and equipment will bring you to older times, but all is clean and nice.
We had the best time in Tolmin thanks to the fantastic host, Gregor!
The house had everything we needed, perfectly located and we also felt safe during the heavy storms.
Gregor had nice recommendations and offered to go for a walk with his goats, the kids loved it!
We definately recommend this place and if we can, we'll be back!!!
This is a great option when in the Soca Valley. The owner is so nice. We rented it last minute and the only room available was the small room. It’s small, but manageable for two people. I loved that there was a small kitchen closet for making breakfast each morning. It’s close to the center of town and to the Tolmin Gorge.
Host was lovely. Apartment (Molly) was super clean and very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Mosquito nets on all windows are big plus. Apartment is in walking distance to Tolmin Gorges. It has great views from dinning area and balcony.
In entry hall you can find good board games for little and bigger kids :)
Perfectly tranquil setting on the Tolminka River. Very convenient to Tolmin town, hiking/biking trails, and the Tolmin Gorges. Large apartment and well set up - comfortable bed, everything worked, lots of good kitchen equipment. Self check-in was convenient. We will return!
The location was really nice, just next to an amazing river Soca. The house was very nice and clean, the surrounding as well. The host was super friendly and very easy to contact. Small city Tolmin is very close with everything you need.
It was a good location for us, being about halfway between the Slovenia ski area (Vogel) and Trieste. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Great view from the kitchen, and there is a balcony, and everything seems quite new!
Silva is a great host. She had a lot of tips what to visit nearby. The breakfast was great ! The room had everything we needed. Guesthouse Silva is located in a quiet little village but only a few minutes drive from Tolmin.
Beautiful apartment in the heart of Tolmin.
The hotel was extremely clean and the air conditioning was working fine (it was summer and Tolmin was hot!).
I really liked the apartment. The host was really nice.
The location is SPECTACULAR, the hostess is very friendly and has great advice on how to best benefit from time spent near Tolmin. The road leading to Vista is indeed narrow but not problematic.
Very helpfull host, app bigger than we thought, middle of Center. We walking by foot to Tolminka River and mointain with castle. Air conditioner working excellent:) Wish to back there!
