Nice small town, very green, relaxing and beautiful nature. The people are so nice! Lovely view from Kostanjevitsa hill! We had dinner at Restaurant Pri Hrastu and launch at Ošterija Žogica - I can recommend both places l. There are also many small cafes and bakeries around the town. Nova Gorica is a small city but has everything a traveler needs. Getting around is easy as most things are within walking distance and the city buses are free. Two good places to eat are Fabrika, a bar and restaurant in the pedestrian center with great burgers and Gurmand, an informal place with both Slovene and Italian food. The italian Gorizia Is the interesting side of the city. You cannot realize the Slovenian Italian border , so It was interesting. The culture and historical things are in Gorizia (Italy) but the verrà , pubs are much more Better in Gorica (Slovenia)

Also, a free parking lot is a big advantage. The owner has built his dream here and runs the hotel adjacent to his Michelin star restaurant with a love and passion we found adorable. We did not get to try the food in the restaurant-all booked out-but saw all the happy people enjoying dinner when returning to our room-it sure is delicious.

There are few hotels and accommodations in Nova Gorica, so they can drive the price as much as they want. But I have stayed in multiple 4 and 5 star hotels around Europe and this is not it. The room is still very nice, clean and practical, regardless of it being overpriced. Also, excellent breakfast choices, I was able to order room service breakfast every day.
