Beautiful, lush, tranquil. The stars at night are glorious! Fewer tourists than Cap Skirring, although still some. Eric, Justine and their staff are gracious and accommodating. Food was really good! And cheap compared to Dakar, the capital. Brochette de lotte was especially excellent. Would definitely come back!
SenegalClara is a gem. She's the receptionist, security, cleaner, cook, and more hats worn. She's the only staff we encountered throughout our stay. She tried her utmost to make sure we were as comfortable as possible considering the running water/shower problems .

IndonesiaThis place is super well run. Everything works, including the wi-fi. The rooms are really nice, with new mattresses, sheets and pillows. We're travelling on a budget and this place is at the top of our price range, but it's the nicest place we've stayed in Senegal or Gambia, and it's tremendous value for money. They serve a good breakfast with a choice of five different homemade jams. Dinner was superb, with big portions of well-cooked fish. We had two different Senegalese dishes which were excellent. There's lots of bird life that you can see from the hotel terrace, including gorgeous Abyssinian rollers. Eric, the owner, is extremely helpful and friendly, and he speaks English. I can't recommend this place highly enough - it's great.
