Baan Rim Nam is an amazing little guest house. The location is perfect, on the estuary and a few minutes walk or paddle to the beach. Very peaceful. The rooms are very modern and tasteful. Comfy bed. Television with Netflix. Rainfall shower. staff are so attentive- nothing too much trouble - wet bags for kayak, beach towels and mats. Mosquito repellent. The maid knew what we needed before we did. I cannot recommend this place enough. Hopefully we will be back. ps Lemon massage on the main road is excellent

This was by far the best place we have stayed in Asia over the past 3 months. The setting alongside the sleepy river, the rooms (family 1), the facilities and of course Ian and his wife and the lovely lady who looked after us. She could not do enough to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The breakfast was excellent, we were provided with beach towels and something waterproof to sit on; there were paddle boards, kayaks and canoes. Wi-Fi rect is excellent. They will ask the boat to collect you if you wish to eat at any of the restaurants on the opposite side of the river. There is a great restaurant and bar just 5 mins walk away overlooking the beach which was excellent. we hired bicycles in the village (15-20 min walk) and used them in the evening and to reach the waterfall etc. I would not hesitate to highly recommend Baan Rim Nam.

The most incredible place to stay. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. If you need anything they are there for you. Ian can advise you on all the places to go, eat, visit locally. Free to use Kayaks, SUP’s straight from the property visiting a small island off the coast and seeing the sunset. The rooms are extremely well equipped and the most comfortable of our trip. We had such a memorable time, loved every moment and will hopefully return one day.

We stayed for 8 nights, in what I can only describe as a little slice of paradise. We had a family room, with a fantastic view of the river, which was beautiful. The rooms were really well laid out with extremely comfortable beds. I really enjoyed the setting within the trees and the fact we could use the kayaks to paddle down to the beach for the day. Equally, a 2 minute walk took you to an amazing beach bar with great food and drink and was ideal to watch the sunset. Our host Ian really knows Koh Chang and wider Thailand, which was extremely useful. I cannot rate this accommodation highly enough and I found we didn't really need to go anywhere else as it was totally relaxing where we were. Would I stay again? 100% yes!

Everything was beyond our expectations: - Ian (the host) was very helpful, and organised our scooters rental and boat transfer - the room was new and clean, with a very comfy bed, nice TV with Netflix, good Wifi and big shower - the patio is on the water and it's very relaxing and peaceful - kayak are free to use

Baan Rim Nam was the perfect accommodation on Koh Chang if you want some peace or don‘t want to stay in a resort. The kitchen (family room) was fully equipped for cooking. The rooms were nice, clean and recently renovated. I was at first sceptical about staying close to a river but since it is mostly salt water it felt almost like staying at the beach (which is close enough).
