This isn’t a service hotel, so no breakfast, food, atmosphere etc just rooms. The cocktail bar was good, but when we asked for the menu we were told there wasn’t one. They said it was happy hour, so we asked if we could have two different cocktails for happy hour and they said yes, but brought us three so we had to pay for all. Also, the cocktails were about £10/11 each (London prices) which we didn’t know because there wasn’t a menu. Our own fault for not checking I guess, but that money can go a long way in Thailand so was a little disappointing. Beach was average, lots of seaweed and no one was swimming. There was a better place down the road for the same price called Tembo which we’d choose next time instead

AC was a bit noisy and was directed to bed so you can get a bit cold, if you turn it warmer, then you can't sleep because it is too hot. They should renovate the AC-systems in the future but it was not a deal breaker in any way. :)

One of the best hotels I have been to, so nice atmosphere and so nice stuff. Everything was smooth and perfect. Definitely go there. Breakfast was very good. Because it is very small hotel, it is very calm and relaxing.

A couple of small issues that in no way ruined the stay. The air con system seemed to get the room to the desired temperature then automatically switch off until the room got hot and then switch back on. Theoretically a good idea to save energy but realistically it meant we woke up halfway through the night every night and had to turn the air con even further down to get it to cool the room. On one of the days there was lots of shell in the scrambled egg but not on the other days so all was forgiven. The only other thing was that the pool was quite small and didn’t get much sunlight but we were so close to the beach it wasn’t much of an issue.

Such a relaxing stay. Could not recommend it more. The staff were very attentive. The lady at the front desk was friendly and chatted to us, showing interest in our outings and activities as we came and went. She also organised several things for us such as renting mopeds and sorting out a pick-up that was late even though the hotel had nothing to do with it. The breakfast was a la Carte and lovely. Fresh fruit, unlimited coffee and croissants as well as a great selection for the main part of the meal. So many little touches made this stay the best of our trip, including the daily late afternoon delivery of chocolate ‘cookies’. The room was beautifully decorated and well maintained. Our suite had a private veranda on the beach and on our penultimate day they installed a hammock which was perfect. The view was spectacular. The walk into ‘town’ was short and felt quite safe. The 2 for 1 treatment deal at the spa was also greatly appreciated after a day of travelling. I’ve read a few reviews complaining about a smell at the hotel but it smelt amazing. The reception and our room smelt fresh and clean, like a spa.

I really enjoyed the time at the Scent Hotel. Really quiet and nice facility, should have booked for a longer period as we did not find any other similar place with as good vibe. Very nice breakfast. Definitely go there.

Only slight downside was although only a short distance to Fishermans village , it wasn’t a safe walk and transport is overpriced on the island compared with pretty much anywhere else!

The staff couldn’t do enough for us! best in a long trip in Thailand! so friendly and helpful at all times!

one down side we had was that there isn’t much beach in koh Samui so therefore the hotel/ trees hide a lot of the sun where the sun beds are. We had the best room in the hotel which was an amazing room, however the lighting was horrendous. Therefore when it come to the evening there was only one mirror in the bathroom and you just couldn’t see to do your hair or make up. They said this is because it’s the romantic room, but romantic or not you want a mirror where there is some light.

Breakfast was outstanding, very very nice. Well presented and great service. The rooms were always clean as was the beach. Pool was lovely and always clean. They bring you an early evening snack each night which was lovey but after 7 days, a change of biscuit would of been nice
