A great place for families looking to spend a relaxing yet fun vacation. The activities at the beach are also very convenient. You feel you have everything you need. Thuan restaurant is a must try for Thai food lovers. My only recommendation is to add some meat halal option on menu that caters for all travelers from different religions

Free water as much as you need. Free shuttle and also boat to other hotels around (all have nice restaurants)

SwitzerlandGreat location on the beach. Wonderful setting and the amenities were perfect. On entering you were welcomed by traditional Thai wire instrument played by a lady in traditional Thai clothing. The music and singing in the bar area was great to just sit back, relax and enjoy. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and nicely laid out with verandas to sit and sip wine as the sunset.

Quite far away from other areas (30-60+ minutes, and be prepared for not-so-cheap Grab/taxi fares), BUT the Bangtao Beach area has everything you need. Far more relaxed. None of the other brand name hotels in other locations had direct beach access - they were obstructed by roads. Dusit Thani is RIGHT on what feels like a semi-private beach. Plus relatively close to airport. Plenty of restaurants and activities to choose from on-site. Gorgeous sunsets, delicious buffet breakfasts! Friendly and helpful staff. Particularly enjoyed hearing live music - both traditional Thai and contemporary. Overall highly recommended - we can’t wait to return!
