North Pattaya is the slightly posh, cleaner end of this old beach city. It's very quick to the main city area by local "baht bus" (hop in the open back of covered mini trucks) but much quieter away from the crowded entertainment and Walking Street (red light) areas of Central & South Pattaya.

Benn coming here for over 8 years and the sights have changed and everyone is so nice and pleasant, we do have friends who own a bar in Na Klua called 'The Blue Marlin' it is a great bar friendly staff, and very helpful, it is a great place to stay and will definitely go back again soon

I have loved staying in Naklua now for 6 or 7 years, I would still stay in Naklua if I ever go back to pattaya ( which is unlikely) but I would stay in a condo.. the hotels are full of Russian, Chinese and Indian tourists who have very little manners or awareness of other travelers.. The free breakfast was like a scrum.. people screaming and shouting, spitting on the floor.. using their hands to get fruit out of the buffet. I would rent a condo next time

There isn't really much to see in Pattaya in general.
There isn't really much to see in Pattaya in general. If You are interested in culture or history or the true Thailand it's the wrong place to be. A lot of construction is still going on. For an affordable luxury-hotel to spend a week it might be OK. Pattaya is known for other "activities", you should be aware of that.

It’s away from the not so nice parts of Pattaya but still has plenary to eat. It avoids the noisy nightlife and lots of heckling to go in places Often doesn’t have pavements so hard to walk around. Large groups of foreign tourists go here smaller hotels are more mixed

If I go back to Pattaya I'd stay in North Pattaya (Wongamat)...
If I go back to Pattaya I'd stay in North Pattaya (Wongamat) area again. It's quiet and relaxing, no noise at night, only restaurants in the area no noisy bars. Mainly families and couples. If you want to go downtown to all the action it's so cheap in a Bolt and so easy to book taxis using the app. I'd rather travel back and forth when needed and enjoy staying in a quieter calmer area.MariaUnited Kingdom
