Without a doubt the best hotel/resort I've ever stayed in my life. It wasn't just 5 star facilities, it was 5 stars for the staff, their service and attention to detail. You are waited on hand and foot from the moment you get picked up at the airport and nothing was too much hassle. We'd planned to explore Koh Lanta a lot more but we couldnt drag ourselves away from the hotel, there was too much to do! It was such a lovely experience and its the only time I've ever been emotional to leave a hotel. I hope to be back one day.

We loved everything about Pimalai, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I've stayed in many resorts in Thailand and this stands out as the best - in fact it's the best resort I've stayed at, anywhere. The staff were genuine and kind, and everywhere you looked was a photo opportunity. From infinity pools to greenery, to the beachfront bar and restaurant, it was perfect. The resort is perfectly maintained and beautiful, and the rooms were truly 5-star. The whole experience was faultless. Pimalai also include a private transfer (private speedboat) from Krabi Airport which was a huge plus. If you're reading this review, just book it, you will not regret it.

This was truly the most wonderful Resort. We stayed for 9 days and it was still not enough. The staff and facilities are outstanding, our private Villa was truly something special. We cannot wait to come back.

The fitness center needs to be updated as the equipment is old and does not have many workout options.. The buffet breakfast needs to have more vegetarian and vegan options.. staff was courteous but as per thailand standards they were not upto the mark..

The resort is in a Lushgreen forest so the greenery and the peace is overwhelming.. and the property is spread across an entire mountain so there is enough space to walk and see around.. 2 big pools both maintained extremely well and havee a perfect view of the sea and the mountains.. the rooms are spaced out and have amazing privacy.. clean, spotless, all amenities I can think of in a room available.. everything happens on an app which is technically brilliant and easy.. from pickup to drop at the airport everything is extremely professional

I cannot fault anything at all but here is a little advice: Take mosquito repellent - though you will find small bottles placed on tables to help which is wonderful. Use the app asap to start making bookings and start communicating. It seems strange at first but the staff really are fab. In the upper level when you need a car to bring you back down there's a phone in the lobby, just dial 1, it arrives within a few minutes. In some photos it looks like there's no door on the toilet in apartments. Ours had a sliding door that covered the toilet one side and the shower the other.

The best thing about this place was the staff. They were absolutely lovely and supportive at every single step. The transfer from the airport was very well organised and they tagged and took care of luggage as soon as they met us. They also had bottles of water ready to hand us as we stepped out of the airport. The vehicles are owned by Pimalai so the staff are with you at all times and it was a very comfortable transfer and shorter than we expected thanks to the smooth operations by staff and a bit of luck with good traffic and weather. The location and views are spectacular. The resort is situated away from the village roads and up a short private drive with divine floral design. Arriving, we were greeted by a wonderful team who quickly provided refreshments and a cute little necklace. Our apartment was probably one of the cheaper available as we didn't wish to have a small private pool but it felt extremely high quality and was very spacious. There were fresh flowers tastefully decorating each corner and the view from our balcony was the best I've ever known. The apartment is one of four in a little block but the design meant that you felt entirely removed from neighbours and it was exceptionally peaceful. The apartment was super clean with excellent facilities and the room service was speedy and high quality. The communication with the staff was via an app which meant that even during the stay we rarely had to lift a finger to ask questions or make bookings. They were exceptionally polite and quick to respond at all times. The pools have views that would rival any expensive resort (we had just stayed 5 nights at Marina Bay Sands, and views at Pimalai compared well!) They are well maintained and staff are quick to being cold water and turnover the towels on the loungers as people come and go).
