One of the most incredible places we've stayed! Absolutely stunning location high up in the jungle, completely surrounded by the natural world. Short walk down to the beach / bars / restaurants. The pool was stunning to look out over the tree tops and down onto the ocean, especially at sunset. Guy was a fantastic host, we felt incredibly welcome and we were very well looked after.

The room itself was gorgeous, with a fantastic view, a well-thought out layout, and a really impressive shower setup. The villa was perfect and the scenery stunning! It was very comfortable and a perfect place to relax. Nice cooling off in the little pool and watching the sunset. Best of all, the owners are amazing and took good care of us. They loaned us snorkel equipment and guided us to a great spot. Guy also helped with new arrangements as the scheduled ferry would not have gotten us back to Koh Samui to catch our flight in time. He arranged for us to take an earlier speedboat with a smaller number of people which allowed us to return to Koh Samui in plenty of time. He also helped with providing some cash back and charging this with our other hotel expenses as we were running out of Thai baht and were worried we wouldn't have enough for a taxi and food while waiting for our flight. Lastly, the owners offered us Dramamine which saved my life on that speedboat!

I don’t even know where to start! The location, the villas, the private pool, the bathrooms…all were perfect. Guy, our host, was wonderful and made every attempt to improve an already amazing stay (including letting us extend an extra night :) We were so glad we booked the Place instead of one of the hotels on the beach. It was so nice to get away from the loud music and fall asleep to the sounds of nature every night. I do recommend renting one of the motorbikes from Guy, if just to make the trip up the hill a breeze. We will absolutely be back as soon as possible!

Wow! Our expectations were high, and The Place totally exceeded them. Beautiful villa with everything you might need and more. Amazing view to wake up to and watch the sunset. We loved how private it was, it truly felt like we were alone in our little villa in the jungle! But at the same time super close to everything in Koh Tao. Guy was a super helpful host and always came through with any of our requests. We could’ve stayed there forever, and will definitely be back.

Coral was very helpful and made sure to explain everything to us. This place is a hidden gem. This was my 4th time in Koh Tao, and my first time staying at The Place. It is the perfect accommodation for couples who want to get away for a vacation, especially for a romantic stay. The rooms are completely private villas. Reminds me of our stay at Sandals Resorts, but more in-room amenities. The rooms have a full kitchen and plenty of restaurants to order from. It is really your luxury home away from home. The views are incredible, and can see all the way to the ocean. The owner, Guy, is so pleasant and welcoming. He makes sure that you are taken care of, regardless of the hour. There are gas powered bike scooters available for rent directly. Guy was so nice and patient to teach me how to ride one. My wife and I used the bike all over Koh Tao. We had an amazing time.
