Two best tuings about basileus hotel is its location and very friendly, very courteous, over the board helping and guiding staff. Farooq is a gem. He guided us from food places to try, routes we should take, ordering taxi for us, even ordering food for kids when we were too ttired to go out.

5 star staff and service. Best value for money. Book this one you wont make a mistake a guarantee.

Location was perfect, Central to all the best sights in the old town and close to the Galata bridge to cross over to the new town. It was also next to some amazing restaurants, like the Garden. Host was lovely, he did everything he could to help out, answer questions or give advice! Was a great stay for a few days, definately recommended.

Excellent hotel, and even better staff. I was staying here for 2 weeks in transit to another country (COVID) and had a really great stay. The location is very good, in the historic area, the room was very clean (cleaned daily), but the staff was awesome. They really made me feel at home, helped me with things to do and places to visit, organized a departure COVID test and taxi for me, and even showed me around personally. Staff went above beyond and I would totally stay here again.

Very friendly service without trying to sell you anything. Great location. Astoundingly good value.

Staff specially Mr.Farouk is helpful Location is good beside Blue mosque and haggia Sofia , 7 min. Walking to nearest Tram station and you can use metro Decorations are good We found some difficulties at first because there are no available rooms but Mr.Farouk helped us and made a good deal

Superb hotel close to all city attractions. The staff is super supportive: they help with any requests. I highly recommend this place!

Excellent location, only 5 minutes of walking to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and 15 minutes to Grand Bazaar. The staff is very friendly and the price is very affordable. There are many good restaurants around and it is nice to walk down the street, where are many small restaurants and shops in the evening. We recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff of Uktan, Faruk, and Onor, (sorry for any misspellings) were incredibly helpful recommending restaurants, arranging transportation and tours, and answering any questions we had about the area. Uktan even arranged a nurse to come to the hotel on our last evening to perform the required PCR testing for our return to the US. It truly felt like a home away from home. We were a family of 4 and had a family sized room on the second floor. My wife and I enjoyed standing on the balcony and enjoying our coffee in the morning. The excellent location in the historical part of the city felt safe and is just a short walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and many others. We stayed here 5 nights at the beginning of our trip and 1 night at the end as part of a 3 week tour of Turkey.

Amazing service, location, and comfort. Wifi is strong most the time.

What is the difference between economy superior and standard. Double room.looking for a room with a viewHi!! I want tell this at the beginning we don't have sea or major monument view. We only have street view. The difference between the standard and economy rooms is which floor the room is located. Let me explain you in both rooms’ details; First type economy rooms which are located on the ground floor (lobby floor) have little window, but the size of the room is larger than the size of upper floor standard rooms. Second type economy rooms which are located on the basement floor have full window from ceiling to ground, these rooms are quite large as well and of course larger than upper floor rooms. I know it is hard to imagine, our building has different shape that is why it is hard to visualize. Standard rooms are located on ground floor (lobby floor) or upper floors and these standard rooms have little balcony and full window from ceiling to ground. And our superior rooms are bigger than standard rooms. Other than these, the facilities in both type of the rooms are the same. In fact there is no very big difference, it is mainly preference. The demand shaped our room types, as the upper floor required more often, maybe it is human nature, we lowered the ground floor and basement floor room rates. Please note that we didn’t increase standard room rates. For us both type of rooms are the same.
