This lovely and spacious four bedroom villa is nestled perfectly in a peaceful rural setting, an ideal retreat for those who want to get away from it all, relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings. The property is perfect for those looking for a place with full privacy and tranquility. It features a modern and comfortable lounge leading out onto the outdoor dining area, a fully equipped kitchen, four bedroom (two en-suite bedrooms), four bathrooms (two shared and two en suite bathrooms), sun porch/roof terrace, private swimming pool (unheated), private beautiful landscape garden. The villa is just minutes away from the village square, where you can enjoy some of the local restaurants and shops. Calis beach and Fethiye centre is only 17 minutes drive away either by a local mini-bus (dolmus) or by a car, and 30 minutes drive away to Oludeniz beach (famous Blue Lagoon).

Neighborhood info

The word ‘Uzumlu’ roughly translates into the term ‘grape yard or place of grape’. As you can imagine, Uzumlu is regarded as a very fertile part of the Mugla Province situated at the foothills of the imposing Taurus Mountains about a 20-minute drive from the main commercial centre of Fethiye. The locals use the land to make their living producing olive oil, tobacco, figs, wine, grape juice and vinegar along with orchards filled with orange, peach and pomegranate and fields full of cotton, wheat and barley. There is an abundance or wild flowers in and around the area of Uzumlu. Uzumlu has all the charm of a traditional working Turkish village that hasn’t as yet surrendered its character to tourism. At its heart is the village square from which you can meander around the narrow streets to observe the fine old Ottoman style houses. Sometimes you can stop and watch the women performing their craft of weaving pure cotton on old wooden looms which they sell to tourists to provide themselves with a valuable income.
