Our room was comfortable and quiet with a nice view over the valley to the mountains. The decor features lots of timber. The staff spoke a little English, but were very helpful. Dinner was inexpensive and good and there was a large Chinese style breakfast buffet. Parking was easy and it was only a short walk to the entrance of the nature reserve. This reserve has lots of easy walking trails through magnificent forest.

The property was good, the corridors maybe in need of a touch up. The rooms were character designed. The variety at breakfast was very good. The location is great for the monster village, just bear in mind there isn't a lot open after dark in terms of food and drink, or first thing in the morning. The staff were lovely and the parking was perfect. Worth staying to see the Monster village at night.

It took us 2 hours from Taichung to Xitou.
It took us 2 hours from Taichung to Xitou. Ate so much of our time but it was great as the weather was great - it was breezy. It was quite breathtaking to see the forest. However, it would be better if the place was well-lit even at night.
