Everything great! So calm and relaxing. We loved the beach and all the activities that reception has to offer. The breakfast and all the food is delicious. The staff is so friendly and warm! Perfect vacation!

Marafiki is an amazing place to disconnect from outer world and enjoy Zanzibar's beauty in its best. This place is calm, has all the necessary attributes, small and big to make your vacation 100% comfortable and relaxed. Staff is super kind and supportive, managers are amazing, they are not hesitating to do extra favours to make you feel welcome- karibu. Food is amazing. Restaurant has a varity of dishes, all of which are very tasy. Everything is clean. Marafiki is next to Matemwe's village life, so you have open access to go to the village and meet people and it never made any discomfort, because Matemwe people are the best. The hotel organized free tours to village, reef, etc. Don't hesitate to spend at least several days here.

If you’re looking for a small hotel with peace and quiet, and understated luxury (the barefoot version), then Marafiki is the perfect spot. We had the double sized room with balcony and fabulous ocean views. The staff are amazing, and so is the food. And do try the cocktails!

It was right up from the beach, which was lovely. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Food was good, and the staff helped us to arrange trips. All of the guests were relaxed and happy. It was a wonderful place to recover from two weeks of safari.

Everything was perfect! They had a fabulous vegetarian menu. I enjoyed working my way through the menu. The cocktails were great as well. The property is gorgeous and the staff are 5 star. They were all so lovely and went out of their way to make our stay just perfect. The beach that it's on is gorgeous and there were absolutely no crowds. I was the only one on the gorgeous beach during my sunrise walks.

Absolutely everything 🫶 My stay and experience was perfect all the way through. Stunning small hotel in a quiet place ideal for single gate away or relaxing stay for couples. Loved my room with sea view, easy and direct access to the beach, could enjoy my cup of coffee in the mornings watching sunrise from my terrace or just take a few steps and seat on the beach 🏝 Hotel provides kayaks and bicycles, kite school just next door and diving center few mins walk. Staff in the whole hotel including housekeeping ladies is super friendly. Michal and Kasia who are managers will make sure your stay is comfortable and unforgettable. Been in Zanzibar 4 times in total and this hotel had definitely the best dining experience. A lot of choices for vegans and vegetarians and food is delicious 👌 strong 10 and highly recommended 👍

Staff were amazing and made me feel at home even though I was traveling alone. They went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The property is located right on the beach, the room was clean, beds comfortable and you have everything you need in the room including complimentary water. The food in the restaurant is delicious, had all my meals there during my stay.
