Ahmet and the staff accommodated our every need, they went above and beyond to fulfil each request. The location of the hotel is great, secluded but close to the beach. The bungalows and all of the facilities are comfortable, in a tropical garden which is great for chilling out. We really enjoyed the bbq night with live music. The breakfast was great.

The staff and ambiance were excellent. Beautifully decorated outdoor pool/patio area, well maintained landscaping, and creative decor. Maks was extremely hospitable and helpful with booking RT travel from the airport and a snorkeling tour. We enjoyed the resident dog and cat also.

Super friendly and warm welcome with breakfast. Staff really helped and accommodating. Bath robes in the bathroom were an excellent touch and much appreciated. Really central location so super handy for the beach.

We have enjoyed to the maximum Everything , every details and the service was excellent, 100% will back again. 3 minutes walk to beach and in the middle of the Nungwi. 20 minutes walk to Baraka aquarium. Highly recommend

We loved everything here! The hospitality of Max and Elena, the staff, the cleanliness, the cozy atmosphere! What’s not to like? This small property has many cute little corners for relaxing, it’s very quiet at night, and the WiFi was perfect. We had a good breakfast every morning, and then it was just a very short walk to the beach. Unfortunately we had made a non refundable booking for another hotel in Nungwi for a few more days, and we were sad to leave Babalao Bungalows. This other hotel wasn’t bad, but we wished we could have enjoyed the relaxing vibe here a little longer instead.

I can’t recommend Babalao Bungalows enough! As soon as I arrived I was warmly greeted by Max with a wine! Max and Elena and the entire staff quickly made me feel like family and I deeply enjoyed returning to this oasis after exploring Nungwe. Everyday you get a delicious breakfast of fruits, eggs, and a different special each day. I loved that o could refill my water bottle instead of buying plastic bottles like other places. My room was very clean and extremely comfortable - I slept the best I have in weeks! Babalao Bungalows is also very thoughtfully decorated with beautiful art and comfortable areas to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. Another thing I loved was the friendly kitty and dog! I miss my dog so it was wonderful to get to cuddle with some animals. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

The owners Elena and Max are really great. They were super friendly and welcoming, very accommodating! Also, the hotel is beautiful. The common area around the pool is such a delight. Breakfast and food is all really tasty. Extremely clean rooms and great showers. Highly recommend staying here! Also, there is a really cute cat and dog :)
