The room was a nice size and very comfortable. Just a bit dusty above the mosquito netting. Breakfast venue with stunning views and good food. Nicely decorated with great antiques and a wonderful history.

Andrew South Africa

Mwanajuma was a great host & the staff was equally impressive.

Princesse United States of America

We loved our room and the overall feel of the hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and promptly. We arrived a little earlier than expected, so we waited in the lounge area and were welcomed with fresh hibiscus juice. Our room was nice with old-world charm.

Rachel United States of America

We really enjoyed our stay at Kisiwa House. Not only is the house itself so beautiful and well furnished, the staff are reliable, welcoming and attentive. We got good sleep and the bed was comfortable. We explored everything on foot and found plenty of food options nearby. We did not try the hotel restaurant but the breakfast is tasty. I would definitely stay here again.

Annick Germany

A boutique property complete with traditional Zanzibari decor and furnishings. Conveniently located in a quiet bylane, just off the main street, on the western side of Stone Town. There are plenty of good cafes and restaurants around. Forodhani Gardens and the beach for catching boats to Prison Island are within short walking distance. The room was very clean, spacious and well ventilated, with a huge bed, large bathroom and easy access to hot water round the clock. Hotel staff was always ready to assist with a smile. Check-in (well past midnight) and check-out were smooth.

Shalabh United Arab Emirates

All was nothing but perfect (great room, wonderful staff, delicious breakfast on the roof top terrace, great and central location)

Matthias Germany

The room was nice and big, the bed super comfortable. The hotel is in old zanzibari style, quiet and placement is great.Staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is huge, don't get too excited or you might have to go back to your room for a digestive nap before leaving to explore the city!

Camille France

This property is nicely located near a main road so we didn’t have to carry our bags too far from the car. The building is very clean and very well maintained! The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. The rooms were excellent with nice comfy beds and nice cold AC. We slept excellently here! The Wi-Fi also worked very well for us. We stayed in 2 different rooms and both were larger than other we had stayed in while in Stone Town.

Jessica United States of America

I loved the rooftop restaurant and the size of the rooms as well as the service provided by the staff.

Elizabeth United States of America

Kisiwa House is located in one of the most convenient parts of Stone Town. Many of Stone Town's main sites are within walking distance from the hotel, and the staff were eager to accommodate our requests.

No lift so quite a walk up to the room via the stairs so not recommended for people who struggle with stairs or ask fro a lower floor room.

In my view too expensive for what you get. We paid around 260$ night, which is just about 100$ more than it should, compared too my (vas) travel experiences. But this is just my opinion...

Beautiful city hotel in a historic building, nicely renovated. Staff well trained and super friendly.

Coffee was not good and the breakfast options are limited.

The location is perfect. Everything worth seeing in Stone Town is about 3-15 minutes away. We walked everywhere and never took more than ten minutes to get to the beach.

This place is heaven on earth, very peaceful and beautiful. We had an amazing stay and our only regret is to not have spent more time there and in Zanzibar. The staff is so nice and make you feel at home, you can't ask for more! Asante sana

Room, although lovely, was too near reception and impacted by reception comings and goings.

Beautiful old colonial building. Great location for walking around Stonetown. Lovely staff.

Our room on the ground floor was a little noisy throughout the night due to AC fan clicking and people passing in the street.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff, nice clean rooms and breakfast choices.

Very well located in the Old Town and the hotel is in a lovely old building. Clean and comfortable - a good option for a couple of nights in Stone Town.

Only downside is that the building smells sometimes of mold and the toilet in the restaurant area had a strong sewage odor.

A nice heritage hotel in the center of stone town and just minutes away from the waterfront area. Rooms are spacious, air conditioned and have a large bathroom. Staff is great, especially the ones working at the restaurant are very accomodating.
