We had a good time at Sea Crest. The staff was so nice and helpful. They go the extra mile for their guests. The food was good and the view on the ocean was absolutely amazing. The running water though was bit salty and pretty much ocean temperature, but that wasn't a big problem for us.

Sea Crest is beautifully located with an amazing ocean view. The pool is very clean and a good alternative at low tide with cozy beach chairs to chill. The rooms are very nice and clean, breakfast was freshly prepared for us. A big thanks to the hotel manager Eva for the warm welcome and who made our stay so pleasant. I will come again next weekend! 😉

Make hallways a little bit more cozy - put some plants, decors - so it wouldn't be so noisy.
Well actually we were very surprised and felt very warmed welcomed. And the main reason why we stayed is the manager of the hotel. Thank you madam Eva - you made our stay special. Eva takes care of everything and everyone. We felt very special - you can get whatever food and drinks you want - even those that are not in the menu. Definitely I recomend this hotel!

A problem developed where my 2 flights were changed by the airline and my schedule became very tight. I called the hotel within the check in time to request them to transfer my booking to a more convenient hotel of their choice but a bit closer to the airport. They did not assist and I had to find one for myself without internet since I was only visiting briefly.
It sounded like it was very good initially

General the Wi-Fi nearby room 208 was a disaster so we had to go on the upper floors or outside the building to get a good connection but when we got a signal it was REALLY fast (even Netfilx worked). Unfortunately the beach was not private like it is written in the description. To go there you need to go through the small village and because of it there were many beach boys - who can be really disturbing also be prepared for a goats baa-ing.
Staff was very polite and nice (except one waiter - bevahiour similar to a beach boy), there was like a family atmosphere. Reach breakfast with large selection of food. The pool was cleaned very often. The garden part/outside of the hotel was very clean and enjoyable. We felt very safe there - gates were closed at night, someone always guarded the place. There was also very great coworker Saidi who offered us really good trips around the Island for a very fair price - we also felt very safe with him - we definitely recommend him. Prices offered by restaurat were really fair.

There isn't anything we did not like about this hotel.

The breakfast is only ok. Theres a very very poor village surrounding the hotel, you must walk through it to go to the beach. The beach is very tidal, I didnt enjoy it. The hotel smells like cat urine, its really weird. Most of the staff dont have good enough English to give you information about Zanzibar. 2 people at the hotel have good English. The hotel is secluded. The worst thing is the " tour operator / taxi driver", his a creep and persists in trying to sell you things. He also trys to rip you off with everything. Eg. 20 dollars if I wanted to go 5 mins or 20 mins in a taxi. We happily dealt with other taxi drivers and tour operators.
Its a nice big hotel. The dinners are very very good. The staff are friendly. The pool is very good. The supervisor is very competent running the hotel.

The place is not easy to reach and at night it's dark outside. You have to call a taxi to go out, it's not possible to take a walk and reach the main road as there are no lights. As for the restaurant, after ordering dinner we waited for almost 1 hour for the food... Maybe the kitchen was busy.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, the location is quiet and strategic and the restaurant serves delicious food! Pancakes and fruits for breakfast are amazing!
