The staff is unbelievable. There's a bellman in a literally top hat which is awesome, and everyone speaks good English. The rooms are modern, clean, and there's consistent hot water. Amazing location from which to explore Old Kiev. And yes, there's a bomb shelter in the basement you can get to quickly in case of an air raid siren. It's a smaller boutique hotel, so getting to the staircase takes less than 20 seconds from any of the rooms (I know it's ridiculous that I'm including this in a review, but I'm just saying that I felt REALLY safe during my recent stay).

Courteous and efficient check in with a complimentary glass of prosecco! The room was very large and tastefully decorated. The bathroom had a beautiful rain shower with impressive water pressure and plenty of hot water! The bar and restaurant were five star!
