The city is fairly old for the Eastern European region with lots of history, having been a part of the Kyivan Rus, the Principality of Moldavia, the Ottoman Empire and then Austria, under which the city grew and flourished like never before. Chernivtsi has many architecturally interesting buildings, in particular, the university is well worth a visit. It features numerous restaurants with very good menus at not-so-expensive prices. Tour guides are readily available to show the city and explain its sights. Our stay there was too short to take full advantage of the sights.

This is exactly on of the most beautifull city of Ukraine.
This is exactly on of the most beautifull city of Ukraine. But unfortunately not very good asvertised. City is great for people who like European architecture. There are a lot of good examples of Austrian empire buildings. Also very convinient to go from here to best Ukrainian castles - Khotyn and Kamianets-Podilskyi. Place also good for food lovers. Definitely another pearl of Eastern/Central Europe.

The city deserves the name ‘the little Viena’ for the architecture of buildings. There are some attractions in the city and deserves 2 full days here.. The food is delicious and not expensive. The streets are another thing... a lot of work to be done :)

Incredible city!
Incredible city! I was surprised by all places and people (perhaps a bit difficult only because they speak no English, but Russian/Ukrainian). Nice restaurants and food accompanied with friendly people. You must visit the University and wait for an English guide - the interiors are stunning!

Chernivtsi is not big, but a very beautiful and interesting city for walking on a weekend. Also, you can find nice restaurants in the city center with tasty food and low prices. Must visit! Hope to back again very soon.

A surrealistically poorly-maintained town with hilly streets and a lot of dirt. Some architecture you wish wasn't THAT horribly neglected. Watch your step every time, there's holes and open lids here and there. Pretty good cuisine in the few places I've been, but otherwise I would warn you to be very cautious, as the overall culture of the town suggests negligence and unsanitary conditions. Lots of young women dressed like sexual workers, with their male peers looking like low-class street thugs. A lot (literally a lot) of poor people and beggars. Track suits still seem to be the mainstream here (it felt like I was 20 years back in time, into the bad 90's). The only thing I can recommend is the amusement park with a few quite worn-out attractions that are still fun to ride. The buses and trolleybuses are seriously weary, on some buses the driver would turn on some disgusting Russian gangster music (as if it were ever OK for this audio-trash to enter public space in the first place!) without even regarding the passengers. Overall notable low cultural level and screaming negligence of the locals, making me sad for this poor town. Outside the city center it's even worse with virtually nothing repaired since the early 2000s. Outside the very few places (the list includes the University, where you'd be asked to pay a randomly-sized bribe to the gate guard for entry), there's absolutely nothing to see. I'm never going to Chernivtsi again.
We went to Chernivtsi after we evacuated from Kherson when Russian Na"Z"i soldiers started bombing civilians and our cities. Under the conditions, we expected we would get the bare minimum service, however the hotel staff provided the full service, with all the comforts of the hotel. We had a great breakfast in the restaurant every day and the staff was communicative at all times and kept us safe.
Fantastic experience! Great apartment with the quality of a 5 star hotel. Everything is modern, clean, and ready for you. Very comfortable beds, huge cozy rooms. Beautiful design. Room service was available from 9 to 23, we could order anything from the amazing local restaurant with high quality coffee and welcoming people. We will definitely come back. Everything was just perfect.
The hotel's location is fantastic, in the city center but on a tranquil street. Realy close to the main city's attractions, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Available private parking on the hotel's territory.
Also, the bed was very comfy; I slept well at night and recovered from the long road.
I will definitely book this hotel again for my next trip to Chernivtsi.
The place is actually an apartment, with a bedroom and living room, I don’t know if this place working has hotel since I have been there only for one night, but all were very convenient and clean, the location is in the center, and the owner was very nice, she also went with me to the taxi driver to check if all is clear and if they know where to take me.
Navigator is a wonderful place, a lot because of Anna and Stefan that do everything to make sure their guests feel comfortable at all time. This was our second stay there and it felt like coming home! Will definently stay there again next time in Chernivtsi. Thank you so much!
Everything was just great. This hotel really impressed us, I strongly recommend it. Super clean, spacious room, comfy bed, luxury amenities, great interior design. Bonus: delicious food at their restaurant
The very hotel is clean, located in a very good place, close to the city center and very close to the National University which is a landmark of Chernivtsi and is really worth visiting
The hotel is nice! The staff was very very kind
