Beautiful hotel on the St. Lawrence River. Quaint little town with shops. Close to shopping in Watertown. Scenic walking olong the boardwalk.
CanadaThe view out our large bedroom window was out of some picture book with the St. Lawrence River and the islands right there when you wake up. We visited two parks and hiked in both. Unfortunately, most of this area shuts down on Columbus Day so over half of the shops and restaurants were closed during the week with only some of them opening for the weekends. Ask the locals where to eat and most will probably recommend JK's Roadhouse in Redmond. Food was great and friendliness of the wait staff and cook was a bonus. Uncle Sam's Boat Tour to view all of the victorian-era millionaires' "summer mansions" and the newer mansions was a definite highlight!!
