Exploring Los Angeles, the place where movies are made, you feel like you’re in a dream. Santa Monica Pier is the end point of the fabled Route 66, while just south is bohemian Venice Beach, lined by tall, swaying palms. Go slightly inland from the boardwalk to catch a glimpse of the canals that earned the area its name.
Head north to the golden beach and stunning scenery of Malibu and see why movie stars over the decades have settled here. Also popular with the rich and famous are Bel Air and Beverly Hills, home to exclusive Rodeo Drive.
And the reason for all this glitz and glamour? Hollywood, of course! Sitting high on a hill, the iconic sign is visible for miles around, while below the gold stars on Hollywood Boulevard immortalize celebrities of past and present. Be there on premiere night to see them grace the red carpet of Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
Over the hill is Universal Studios, with behind-the-scenes tours as well as rides. Next door are the Warner Brothers Studios, and Paramount Studios are closer to Downtown LA.
Whether you decide to live like a star in a luxury LA hotel or choose a cheap motel through Booking.com, it’s worth renting a car to get around this sprawling city and out to Los Angeles Airport (LAX).
. Went 20 miles to Griffith Observatory. Traffic wasnt too bad in the late morning and early afternoon.Lots to see. Summer heat was intense as was the pollution. But, there is just too much to see and visit. From Santa Monica to Venice to Manhatten to Seal beach the ocean and beaches were both beautiful and cool.

Stayed in Anaheim for 6 nights and planned to stay in LA for 2 nights prior to flying back home and do the LA sightseeing tours, however with the flights by American airlines cancelling and delaying and rerouting our flights we ended up only having from 0830 am to 0800 pm at the hotel.

I come from a large city myself, so wasn’t too fond of the city life. I found LA a bit dirty and full of strange people. I think it’s a great destination for younger folks, but not ideal for families.

They tried to charge $50 for parking and after 8:00 p.m. you can park on the street with meter parking and they failed to mention that their breakfast consisted of one apple elementary juice and many muffins and four ounces of water the likelihood of me staying there again is zero to none

I was really surprised at how good my sleep was, even though the hotel is right near the busy airport! There are so many fascinating things to see there! If you're planning a sightseeing tour, it's a great idea to book a couple of days in advance.

Homeless every corner, so sad.
Homeless every corner, so sad. There was a convenience store across the street, we wanted to go there and purchase water bottles everyday, or maybe grab something else for the kids before going to bed. But outside the store there were always 2 or 3 homeless and it looked very dangerous, so we never went to purchase something there and took the Hotel option which was very good but more expensive.
Uber or Lyft are always available.
The apartment was clean and spacious enough for our requirements, and a good base for the 5 minute walk to the beach, Santa Monica Pier, the ocean facing restaurants, and only a 10 minute further walk to the shopping areas and cheaper eating establishments for less formal dining. There's good Starbuck's 3 minute walk on the corner of Olympic and Main for breakfast bites and coffee. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating.
Great location near LAX so very convenient for my flight early next morning. It's not a 5 star hotel by any means but if u need an airport hotel with a free transfer from/to the airport hotel is totally fine. It has a restaurant, Convenience Store, pool, gym. The shuttle driver was very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are nice, clean and cozy. The area around the hotel is quite calm and there are several restaurants nearby. Close to the LA international airport and LA downtown. The breakfast is simple but a few options are available making it a good meal experience.
The location was excellent. Downtown Los Angeles is really coming to life and this hotel is right in the thick of the action. Hotel amenities are sleek and modern, and I appreciate the staff giving .e a helping hand on arrival...especially José.
