Great history to the building and knowledgeable staff. Welcomed as if we were family. Very accommodating.

Hilary United States of America

Oh my! Where do I start? We graciously fretted at the north side gate by Kevin and young master Bentley. K Bentley took my friend’s bag and led the way up the historical stairs to our two bedroom suite. After settling in we walked to a Chinese restaurant two blocks away and felt very safe. We both slept very well and enjoyed the shower in the ball & claw bathtub. Bentley brought us coffee in the morning before heading to off to school. The 1st course was toasted cinnamon bread with warm syrup, fresh fruit and mango drink or coffee. Kevin then served scrambled eggs, hash browns and three thick pieces of perfectly prepared bacon. The restaurant was open only to guests for breakfast so we had the place to ourselves. We were so so full we will forget lunch. We will be back Dave, Kevin and Bentley! We will bring more friends and family too. Your B&B is a “MUST STAY AT” site. Feels like home.

Alisa United States of America

The staff was fantastic! They made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond what I expected. The location was great - I didn't feel caught up or overwhelmed in the city like I do when I get closer to downtown Chicago. 10/10

Tanner United States of America

Historic building, great food/restaurant (gospel brunch on Sundays sounds like a special experience), wonderfully attentive staff/owner, very accommodating. Very comfortable bed/linens, nice to have kitchenette/fridge, has two air conditioners and fans. Feels like I moved into an historic neighborhood for a few days. If you want a comfy, if dated, getaway on the south side of Chicago, this could be a fun adventure...

Patrick United States of America

Breakfast was very good! Staff, especially Kevin, was friendly and helpful. Room was charming and clean.

Jacqueline United States of America

Every morning, we were served Creme Brulee French Toast as well as a wonderful breakfast that was different every day. The staff was kind enough to drop us off at our daily destination every morning as well. Everyone was very nice and highly attentive to our needs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, it was great!

Bryan United States of America

Good location, safe neighborhood, off street parking, walking distance to White Sox,local restaurants, parks, churches.Exceptionally clean large 2bdrm suite, comfortable beds.Excellent hosts! Quick to offer assistance and information. Breakfast was extraordinary! Ample portions, delicious!

Jill United States of America

I can't imagine you'll find any other place as cool as this! Your "suite" is an entire old school Chicago apartment in a really neat neighborhood. The suites are really big, comfy, clean. The owner and manager are just the nicest people. If you're lucky, you will get to meet Ronan, the rescue dog. Get up early and go for a run or walk as the neighborhood wakes. Be sure to visit the park on 29th and Halsted that used to be a quarry and take a few pics of downtown from the top of the hill. And then linger over an amazing breakfast in the Polo Cafe. And swing past 31st street beach, too - - a quick bike ride or drive from the B and B.

Marilyn United States of America

Staff were very warm and friendly and extremely helpful

Owner Dave Samber was very welcoming and even personally drove us to Guaranteed Rate Field for the Red Sox-White Sox game. The food was excellent and the accommodations comfortable—the free parking was a very nice perk!
