An architectural-contemporary, spacious chalet surrounded by pine, oak and manzanita trees in the Pine Cove area of Idyllwild . Close to Deer Springs trailhead, Idyllwild village is just a few minutes away. There's an awesome mountain bike or hiking trail is just up the street, where you can bike or hike it and end up at the Art Academy in town or go North a few minutes to Lake Fulmor. Come EAT, LOVE and ENJOY the serenity of the mountains with your friends and family at CASA de los ARBOLES - "House of the Trees".
Diana and I hope you will enjoy our home as much as we have. Every time we are able to stay at Casa de los Arboles, "House of the Trees", a peace will surround you with the trees and maybe a fuzzy gray squirrel or two. We have enjoyed running 8 marathons, biking on the island of Mallorca, skiing in Canada, back packing on the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island and the Pacific Crest Trail, traveled through Europe & Mexico and its Idyllwild-Pine Cove that feels right, just like home!
Mile-high Idyllwild is our popular southern California mountain resort about one mile (1.6 km) in altitude. It is flanked by two large and one smaller rock formation, Tahquitz Peak (with nearby Lily Rock) and Suicide Rock, which are famous in Southern California rock climbing circles, and Mt Atlas. It currently offers no skiing; thus has been minimally developed over the years and remains a center for hiking, mountain and rock climbing, mountain biking and horseback riding. Enjoy your stay, cast your eyes to the stars at night and breathe in the fresh air away from city life! Large lot and patio surrounded by trees. Mountain views from street.
