Enjoy southern charm in Montgomery's historic Cloverdale and Garden Districts. This restored 1930's home with original details sat on a pecan farm in one of the city's most beautiful neighborhoods! Only 5 min to downtown and 15 to east side shopping; easy walking access to Cloverdale's business and art strips and multiple iconic churches and streets. Our restored home with original details is currently configured as two private apartments with separate entrances and parking.
Neighborhood info
Cloverdale is the largest garden-landscaped neighborhood in the state of Alabama. Built in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Purchased by William Graham in 1817, Cloverdale rests in a portion of the original 160-acre (0.65 km2) lot. This area of land was originally called "Graham's Woods" because of its thick growth and distance from the city of Montgomery. The landscape was covered with virgin pines, a few of which still exist on the lawns of some Cloverdale homes.
This safe and picturesque district is full of beautiful homes, magnificent churches and hidden jems.
The neighborhood is wonderful for short or long strolls, although walkways are missing on some streets. There is typically no heavy traffic in the neighborhood.
Take a walk to the local bakery/coffee shop and enjoy the church bells ringing several times a day.
