Château sur Mer (Castle by the Sea) is a Bed and Breakfast in a large colonial style home located in the seaside town of Winthrop, Massachusetts. It offers close proximity to local restaurants and shopping, as well as easy public transit access into the capital city of Boston. Just 10 minutes from Logan Airport, the convenience is unprecedented. You can enjoy the charm of a small town while being close to the city. We have three rooms, two with an en suite bathroom. The other bedroom enjoys a private bathroom located across the hall. Two rooms are on the 2nd floor and one is located on the first floor off of the dining area. There is no elevator. NOTE: Our breakfast is continental only. We have a selection of cereal, breads, yogurt, juice, boiled eggs, coffee, and tea. Breakfast is normally served from 8:30am - 10:30am. For early departures and by request, we can make sure we have coffee ready and you can help yourself to our assortment of cereals, juice, breads, etc.
We are a family of five, (three adults and two children) who manage this gorgeous Bed and Breakfast. The family have their own private quarters on the first and third floor with the bed and breakfast rooms on the second floor. Our home consists of 7 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms in total and is over 5,000 sq ft. We love meeting new people, are well traveled, and are happy to open our home.
We live in a residential neighborhood, considered one of the best in town. We are one block from the ocean and two blocks from the Center Business District which has some of the best restaurants around. You can see the Boston Harbor from our BnB as well as can watch the planes at Logan.
