Dowd House Prepare for a cozy and wonderful stay in Dowd House, a historic oceanfront home with two living areas steeped in classic Oregon Coast cottage detail. Perched on a high cliff above the southern side of Alsea Bay, you’ll have sea views from the home and panoramic outdoor views of the south and north sand spits, Alsea Bay and the Pacific. You’ll love the eclectic, old-world details of the cottage, from beamed wood ceilings, antique furnishings and an amazing rock-and-shell-embedded wood-burning fireplace hearth with clever sailing ships on the mantle.
