Honestly we aren't sure why everybody thinks you have to go to the Canadian side to enjoy niagara falls. The American side has FAR more distance of accesible coastline, and just as many tours and attractions. Being so close to the falls and hearing and feeling the power of the water is truly an awe inspiring experience. You can actually feel the ground vibrate with the sheer force of water flow. It's completely unique. Both sides are amazing, but don't shy away if you don't have a passport to get to Canada!!! We went at the beginning of the year, and it was very quiet and uncrowded. It felt so intimate to not have hundreds of people around you as you try to enjoy such an amazing piece of nature.

Niagara Falls itself is awesomely impressive, and could easily consume an entire day to see the park itself, and the "optional at additional cost" extras, such as the boat ride, descent of the cliffs to river level, and observation tower. But there didn't seem to be a lot of "other things" to do there, in what seems to be a relatively unreconstructed midwest-ish declining-fortunes mid-20th century town. We were unable to enter Canada for passport reasons, but perhaps there is some interesting things to do there.... it is much more built up and upscale/modern looking, at least as seen from the American side. Looking into Canada from Niagara Falls, NY reminded me of nothing so much as looking at West Berlin from East Berlin in 1985.

I never get tired of visiting Niagara Falls USA/Canada.
I never get tired of visiting Niagara Falls USA/Canada. I've been there at least 25 times over the years, and experienced every season of the year. You can always find something different to do. The Falls alone are magnificent and amazing to see. You will never be disappointed taking a trip to the Falls.

We spent two nights in a hotel on the American side and one afternoon walking the park and looking at the US side of the falls. The second day we walked to the Canadian side which we enjoyed more, the views are much better with more to do.
Niagara as a town from what we saw close by the falls is a dump and we were glad to get away from it.

We went for the casino and some shopping - both proved to be excellent. Have been many times before so not really into the touristy thing. We did enjoy going offsite to eat, the Military Road area is chockful of great places to eat. Loved Bob Evans for brunch. We also went into Amherst to shop - they have Barnes & Noble and many more box stores, plus Macys and JC Penney. Driving around is very easy and road signs well placed. We also stayed one night in Lewistown, which was a great break from the action at the casino. Beautiful, quaint town, more boutique shopping along Center Street but great places to eat. Highly recommend Lewistown for a romantic get away.

Niagara Falls is a small town but with a very good Fashion Outlet and some nice parks f.ex. Devils Hole. The Falls is the most amazing experience. Something for your bucket list! I would recommend the Canadian side for that experience.
We haven’t stayed there. We booked a hotel for night stay at Niagra for full family. But by mistake we booked the hotel in USA instead of Canada. And we canceled the booking next minute. We request property for refund but they strictly sad no. We requested again but still they are heartless people they didn’t even care about others situation. They just care about themselves. I just want to say think before booking at this property.
We loved this hotel. It was very clean. Staff was very nice. The continental breakfast was good: Scrambled eggs, sausage links, potatoes, fresh fruit, waffles, toast, yogurt. 24/7 water, juice and coffee. The pool area was nice and pool was heated. Even with being close to the airport, it was quiet. Very close to restaurants and about 15 minutes from Niagara Falls. Absolutely no complaints.
The location of this hotel was really good. It was near the USA Niagara falls and near the Canada Border. There were some restaurants nearby and complimentary breakfast in the morning. The room had 2 queen beds and a pull-out bed. We could also watch the nightly fireworks from the 6th floor.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Located right next to the Niagara Falls visitor center, the hotel looks new. Very friendly staffs, smooth check in and check out, great breakfast, massive room and really decent parking charges, all in all, we were extremely satisfied! Highly recommended!
the motel is small and the room was very clean and exceeded expectations for the price. the location is in an older neighborhood but the property is well kept up. this was the least expensive hotel of my trip and I was happiest with it. it is close to Niagara falls and is not a chain hotel.
Fabulous location on the edge of the State Park with the Falls rapids visible from the restaurant window. Nice & quiet rooms. Great staff. Prefer the US side of the Niagara Falls than the gawdy Canadian side. Easy to cross to Canada to get a different perspective of the views.
Hotel was comfortable and clean! The trolly to Niagara Falls is misleading.. it was a city bus that dropped us far from the falls or somebody with a slight disability! End it was not an area that I felt comfortable in that they dropped us! Restaurant was delicious!
I chose the hotel based on the location and the name, as Marriott would guarantee us some quality. I wasn't not disappointed at all.
Perfect stay in a great location, only 3 min drive from Niagara Falls.
The room was comfortable, very clean, spacious and quiet.
This hotel was adorable, and very close to all the attractions like Niagara Falls and Lake Ontario. The room had a queen sized bed, a TV and a bathroom. There was a pool in the middle of the hotel property that looked nice, although we didn't use it.
staff were friendly especially staff manning the breakfast section. Room and bed were very comfortable. if you going to Niagara Falls, this hotel is 20 minutes away. Breakfast was good.
Location is the best. Right at the entrance to Niagara Falls park. You can walk to the falls from the back door. You can't see the falls from the hotel, but it's a short walk.
