All within 7-10 minutes of downtown Cheyenne & WAFB As you walk thru the Private Entrance you will be immediately taken with the beauty and decor of the space. Open and luxurious, the accommodation exudes true comfort and relaxation. The bed is hugh and so very comfortable and the bathroom is stunning. The large copper-ceilinged kitchen is fully equipped and in the adjoining breakfast nook guests are served a not only lovely to look at but delicious custom-made breakfast. The Prairie Rose Bed & Breakfast is in the Yellowstone North Sub-Division, where Deer & Antelope frequent as well as Owls, Falcons, Fox, migrating Birds & lots of Bunnies! For History Buffs....this subdivision is a Section developed from the historic PO Ranch after 5th Generation family member Robert Boice sold it. Thus this square mile next to the I25 was developed; with the remainder in original pasture. Mr. Boice, Bob to Ellyn and his lovely wife, Jackie, were very close friends. At Ellyn's annual August 'Summer's Last Soiree', Bob stood on her front porch, held up his hand, 'gesturing toward the front pasture' and said, "Ellyn this was what we called our Antelope Valley' with a wistful twinkle in his eye. Nestled in 25 acres of prairie & buffalo grass, so it remains! Prairie Rose B&B offers its Yellowstone Cattle Baron EnSuite and its Sundance Suite year around; 3 other suites are in Spring & Summer.
SUPER HOST ELLYN, a former Registered Hereford Rancher, Horsewoman and Non-Profit CEO, believes evan a 24 hour Cheyenne Stay can be an "Experience". She lives on her Bed & Breakfast property but is very respectful of her guest's privacy. However, Ellyn is happily available in the role of 'concierge'; arranging reservations, providing tour information, horse riding opportunities, fishing & hiking spots, tried & true best restaurants for steaks to burgers & beer! She can even suggest a lounge for jazz lovers! Former Miss New Mexico, Ellyn is a very active community volunteer and respected business owner, Ellyn loves to share why the great & good folks of Cheyenne detoured her from a career alongside one of the nation's most recognized & respected Cardiologist. With the heart of a Philanthropist since her 30's, she served as a Board Member of National Association of Healthcare Philanthropy, she established & funded several educational & health care scholarships & the First Free Mammograms in 1990. Ellyn's home reflects her good taste & design skills that lead Architectural Digest to request to publish photos of one of her projects as Owner & Lead Designer for The Anderson Collection in New Mexico. Ever an adventurist, Ellyn has travel to 5 Continents & all 50 States. Ellyn loves recounting history of Cheyenne and Wyoming. She is available to recommend the area's "must see or do". A SERVAS International Host, Ellyn has met & hosted International Travelers, in service for peace & cultural understanding. Ellyn has traveled herself to 5 continents and all of the 50 USA states, A patron of the Cheyenne Symphony, she's served on numerous Board of Directors, including the Old West Museum. Other interests include Rotary International, PEO, & DAR. Her love & appreciation of fine art began as a student at The University of Chicago where she was fortunate to hang original Chagall's on her tiny International House dorm room, due to their loan to student platform.
Only 1/2 mile off I25, the Yellowstone Ranchettes are a very safe and secure subdivision of the original, historic PO Ranch. It's situated between I25N and the "original" Yellowstone Highway - now called "Old Yellowstone Road", the Subdivision Ranchettes was developed into Horse Properties with 5 acre minimums. If offers wide, Open Vistas, Spectacular Sunsets and Sunrises, and the very best "Milky Way" in our Starry, Starry Night Sky! Yet you will be only mere minutes to just about anywhere in Cheyenne: Warren Air Force Base, CRMC, Curt Gowdy National Park, Vedauwoo Climbing Area, Quebec Missile Site, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Old West Museum & only 5 minutes to the Famous, Local Long Time Favorite, Little Bear Inn for the best Steaks or Chicken Fry Ever! The Ranchettes' Electric lines are all buried and drinking water from Ellyn's 300' water well can't get any better or purer! Plan to fill up your travel mugs!! Fast Free WiFi....54
