The staff are pretty rude, everything is always locked 24/7, even the front entrance door!! The pool is cold outside and the parking is so dangerous I would not recommend any elderly or children to go there.
The good side is the hotel is clean, tons of staff and the breakfast was delicious. So it depends what you are looking for, but this is not a romantic gateway believe me.

Very much liked the convenience of a bus right outside the hotel that took me into NY in 15 min. Liked the breakfast but very much missed fresh vegetables which were entirely missing. Fruit was nice, but I think salad or fresh veggies are a must, and less fried and sweet options would be healthier.
The room was nice but missing hooks and places to hang towels and other items.

We found the hotel was perfect, the location is awesome.
We found the hotel was perfect, the location is awesome. Right across the street is the 320 which takes you into New York City Port Authority which is only a 5 minute walk to Time Square. The breakfast was good, I have no complaints about it. It's a basic breakfast toast, cereal bagel coffee! The room are amazing and the bed was super comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

I lived there for over two weeks. Everything was fine. If I came to New York next time, I would choose this hotel. Affordable price for an eastern european. I had a room facing the river and beautiful greenery outside the window. I recommend

Good location for visiting friends I had spread across North Jersey. Close to Newark, Meadowlands, Bloomfield. If needed would be easier access to New York City by car or public transit. Nearby restaurants on the Hudson river from Jersey City north to Edgewater are close( Haven, Chart House, Batello). But caveat is that other than shopping nothing to do directly in Secaucus.
- Perfect location just outside NYC
- Bus into NYC right beside the hotel ( only 15 mins bus drive at $4.25 one way)
- Outback Restaurant connected to the hotel has great food probably the best in the area
- WallMart right beside the hotel
- Staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best they could
- Best experience I’ve had in a hotel before and first time in the U.S
- The rooms were fantastic the beds were really comfy
I am someone that doesn't know the area. We came in the day before for our first cruise. We took the train in and the took a car to your facility, which said it was 2 miles away from the port. It was definitely further from the port then I thought. We also got taken advantage of as it cost us $320.00 one way to get from Penn Station to your hotel. Not the trip that I was so excited to experience for 7 months.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It was clean and comfortable. We decided to take the train in to the city, however there is a bus stop right outside the hotel. The breakfast was decent. The eggs were not very good(I think they are the powder eggs) but they had a nice assortment of cereal, waffles, potatoes, sausage. But we felt the hotel overall was a good value.
I’ve stayed here many of times in the past and have had no problems this unfortunately wasn’t the case and we were ask to relocate to another hotel at the last minute. We always liked the location of the Hyatt and the breakfast that is provided but now will consider staying elsewhere in the future.
The hotel was actually cleaner than I thought it be. Check in was very quick and easy. We couldn't find our room . But the employee helped us. The only things I didn't like is the location. And the elevator was a nightmare. But it was clean, nice toiletries. I would stay again if I needed too
The bus to NY is driving directly infront of the hotel.
The area seems to be safe and is quite. Supermarket is also only 5 minutes away and several restaurants available. The hotel seems to be old but clean. Staff is really nice and supportive.
The room was spacious, the breakfast was good and location is very close to New York (actually 25 minutes on Bus 320 to Port Authorities) . Also, the shopping mall at Mill Creek Drive is less than 20 minutes walk from the hotel.
The hotel staff was super friendly and had good information for getting to NYC easily. Betsy gave me a city-facing room since it was my first stay with them. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom set-up was really nice.
The garden/plaza at the back is very accessible to restaurants and very quiet -nice to hang out. Location is near train station to NYC. Room is big with kitchen and bathroom is nicely renovated. Hotel is clean.
The property was very clean, the room was super spacious&clean (we got our room service done daily), the staff was friendly and the hotel shuttle could take us to/from the train station
Hotel is pretty clean and comfortable. The location is great for attending events at MetLife. There’s a shuttle to and from MetLife. Staff is friendly.
