Great restaurant "Gringo Jack's" and a neat general store for some good snacks nearby, I was staying there to travel to see the eclipse much further north and east so I did not spend much time in Manchester itself

Cute town, quaint ant easy to get around. Enjoyed our brief one day stay. We were there on Sunday-Monday, in early October, very few restaurants open but the restaurant that was open had great food with a good atmosphere.

The bookstore - a real one; the restaurants, each high quality in its type; the high end gift shops with unique products; the summer home of Abraham Lincoln's son (President of the Pullman Passenger Car Company). Gorgeous mountain scenery. Wonderful - and oh so patient staff everywhere. Very evident pride of community. A community that works for every-one - even the locals in busy tourist times. The absence of "can find anywhere on the planet" mall stores - a real plus plus!

uNFORTUNATELY, THE PROPERTY MGT COMPANY IS vACASA AND THEY DID A HORRIBLE JOB WITH THE CLEANING. tHE HOUSE IS 4BDR AND 2 BATHROOMS BUT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF CLEANING THEY FAILED TO CLEAN ONE OF THE BATHROOMS AND IN ONE BEDROOM THEY STRIPPED THE BEDS AND NEVER BOTHERED TO MAKE THEM nOR WERE THERE EXTRA SHEETS. wE WERE REFUNDED THE CLEANING FEE BUT NOT ON THE RENTAL WHICH TURNED INTO A 3 BEDROOM AND ONE BATHROOM. tHERE WAS NO EMAIL ADDRESS TO CONTACT THE OWNER AND VACASA SENT A MILLION APOLOGY TEXTS BUT YOU HAVE TO SPEND TIME FINDING A PHONE NUMBER WHICH IS FOR AN OFFICE IN OREGAN.
Nice quiet area overlooking the mountains. Great friendly proactive couple running the lodge. Homemade breakfasts were a huge plus. Lodge is constructed of individual adjoining one-room cabins which was great and added to the privacy and quietness. Manchester is a great historic town with some very good restaurants. Only 15 minute drive or so to Bromley Mtn., 30 to Stratton - all mainly via uncrowded local roadways.
As soon as we walked in, we felt welcomed and loved how cozy everything is set up. It was also only a couple doors down from the Equinox where our retreat was held, so the location was perfect. Being off the main road also made it very private and quiet.
The view of the trees from the living room was super relaxing and invited to take cozy naps on the couch. It was the perfect place.
Every thing. It is much more than "a motel". The room was comfortable, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful, fresh coffee and home made cakes every day for breakfast, very nice and convenient location. the overall atmosphere is very special. A very good place to stay when you visit the area of Manchester.
My husband and I found the bed very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. It is very close to downtown Manchester, which has a lot of wonderful shops and restaurants. The main road its on has lovely views of the mountains if you go for a drive.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The resort is very comfortable and has a home-y feel to it. Also, the location is perfect! Lots of cute shops down the street in Manchester, and not too far away from Bennington or Woodstock.
Nice hotel.Very central with easy walk to shops and restaurants.Probably the most affordable hotel in the area.
Nice complimentary breakfast and lovely indoor pool.
Rooms and bathroom large and very clean
The location was in a perfect for our needs. My wife and I have this week off and come up to this area every year. She goes into Manchester shopping and I head up skiing at Bromley. 10 min each way!
Convenient to Manchester shops and local ski and hiking mountains. Friendly hosts with clean rooms and home-made breakfast. Free DVD movies and nice selection of beers and wines.
Beautiful location. Spectacular scenery nearby. Very quite and relaxing. However, breakfast could have been better. Easy drive to Mt. Equinox and Manchester Town centre.
Large hotel, but calm. "King suite" was very nice. Plenty of space and well furnished. Nice bathroom too. Would stay here again if returning to Manchester.
Outstanding .. The location was perfect .. The grounds and pool are well maintained . Definitely coming back to Vermont and staying at the Manchester View..
