Great location, everything is either walking distance or a short subway or bus ride away. Had no trouble getting to places from there. Very reasonably priced, considering the location, and a great looking hotel.

Located in the former George Washington Hotel, once home to many storied writers, musicians and creatives, the Freehand New York features five restaurant and bars, a custom art partnership with Bard College, and design by Roman and Williams. All units feature a private bathroom with bathrobes, slippers and Argan amenities. You will find water, apples, HD smart TV’s and a safe in every room The hotel’s restaurant & lobby bar is led by restaurateur Gabriel Stulman’s Happy Cooking Hospitality, known for their family of West Village restaurants.
